WOW!! What a totally gorgeous car great memories come flooding back of my childhood and this magical super car on the New Avengers Gambits Red P reg XJS it was like something from another world . Also the white one in Return of the Saint. These early PRE-HE cars with the black back panel seem so much purer than the later models especially in red or white. I love the interiors of these early cars just so 70”s and stylish. They are such a majestic vehicle they had a lot of criticism when first launched due to the love for the E -Type but I always loved them from the word go . I has the pleasure of driving an early version a few years back so quite and smooth❤️❤️

Thank you for sharing all of the passion, hard work, and attention to detail that went into this time capsule of a restoration. I have a few XJS’s and one XJ81 myself. My 94 XJS is 18 yrs newer than your car, and not at all worthy of a full restoration, I am well into the 5 digits for restorative costs which is approaching triple the purchase price, so I am well aware of what it takes to put these cars back together. You have a piece of history, take care.

@@kerisclassicjones9223 :Gr8 restoration you did on this old Jaguar XJS. I'm not sure if I'd gone this far for the simple reason of value. IMO these just don't have the value that justifies a full restoration. That said it's a beautiful Jaguar nonetheless. Just out of curiosity what would this be worth?

One of jaguars biggest sellers in production for over 20 years. People forget that they couldn't see the last E types. The old cliche about not replacing the E are ridiculous. This is the car that Harry wanted to get his hands on.

This car is amazing! Wow, has all your dedication, research, passion, and hard work truly paid off, because the XJ-S you're displaying (and thank you for that) is in an immaculate state of preservation so perfect, it's likely visible to the blind (an obvious exaggeration, but not far off in it's accuracy I'm sure). What a lovely Jaguar you have. I'd wish it to be under glass, with security, behind velvet rope, lock, and key within some grand exhibition at the Smithsonian if that wouldn't be a travesty, as cars are meant for driving. What a spellbinding drive that must be... What a rolling fantasy... 🤩😍😍😍 Generations of the distant future will thank you for this, even if the caretaker isn't mentioned, and given credit where it is so obviously due. what a cool toy.... God forgive me for my lust, because that cat is H-O-T, and worthy of the praise. The V12 lives on in big part because Jaguar didn't give up on it, and they saw not just that it could set their luxury coupé apart, but they also had appreciation for the V-12, with inherit values. May we always have new V-12 (sadly, I'd be delusional to believe we will, as depressing as that is 😔😞😭. That is all the more reason for my zealous appreciation of this rolling classic art piece).

The second produced XJ-S, and the firsyt LHD car, with VIN number 0010002 is in Norway. This is the oldest XJ-S in existence. It is also build 31 jan 75 according to the arcives at Jaguar, but since this was a pre production car it was acutally build in october 74, and named XK-F, and registrated first as an E-type. David Marks at JDHT has confirmed the cars orginallity, and tries to inspect the car every time he visit Norway. The brackets that was welding beneeth the car for the crashwagon is still on the car

Hi there, great video! We own XJS 027 built 11/2/75. Signal Red but with Biscuit trim, ours is a prototype manual. Our interior is original and we have the split in the carpet like you have put in on the passenger side. Our screws and washers are painted in the boot channel but that may be because our car might have been painted at some time. We will start a restoration soon, we have all the original parts, there is some footage of our car here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/aK2MqK18ltXepNI.html Happy Jaguaring from Australia!

Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing petrol stations to only one state operated central gas station per city. From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime....
