I had presented my written ghazals to Great Jagjeet Ji by hand to sing. These were in urdu writing, Jagjeet Ji said " I can't read urdu, translate them in hindi and then give me "

स्वर्ग में देवताओं ने उन्हें सुनने के लिये बुला लिया है, अब जन्नत में कैफ, शिफा, तस्कीन, सुरूर की बारिशें होती है।।

कोई टूट गया सुनाते-सुनाते गम अपना उम्मीद नहीं थी ऐसी मुझे अपने खुदा से।।

सुनते हैं के मिल जाती है हर चीज़ दुआ से इक रोज़ तुम्हें माँग के देखेंगे ख़ुदा से दुनिया भी मिली है ग़म-ए-दुनिया भी मिला है वो क्यूँ नहीं मिलता जिसे माँगा था ख़ुदा से ऐ दिल तू उन्हें देख के कुछ ऐसे तड़पना आ जाये हँसी उनको जो बैठे हैं ख़फ़ा से जब कुछ ना मिला हाथ दुआओं को उठा कर फिर हाथ उठाने ही पड़े हमको दुआ से आईने में वो अपनी अदा देख रहे हैं मर जाए की जी जाए कोई उनकी बला से तुम सामने बैठे हो तो है कैफ़ की बारिश वो दिन भी थे जब आग बरसती थी घटा से (कैफ़ = मद, नशा, आनंद)

मनाने रूठने के खेल में हम बिछड़ जाएँगे ये सोचा नहीं था.....

I love this ghazal.

Classic interpretation of Urdu tallafus perfect poetry and performance. DUNIYA bhi mili hai ghum E DUNIYA bhi Mila hai. Vo kyun nahi milta jisse manga tha Khuda se. ( Aye ghum E Yar kyun udaas hai udasi mein. Dil E ghum se Bahar a ke hazzaro haat Uthe hai duva ke kyun Na ho muskan aise Khabar se teri Bahar mein Meri Bahar hai )

To listen to him is like " Woh na aayen to sataatee hai khalish si dil ko, woh jo ayayen to khalish aur jawan hoti hai " He keeps pushing the boundaries of what one can expect of him as a singer and composer par exellence. he fulfills all you want and yet leaves you yearning for more. Wow

One of my favourite ghazal. Perfect composition and presentation.

I am listening to him and I am wondering if this is really happening , knowing fully and truly well that it could just be him that can weave this magic. His singing would make a truth, magical and a magic a truth.. No wonder , as his music is, his singing is also so uplifting. Heavens are blessed now to be listening to him sing alive. Thanks God for sending him to us.
