@@kentwesterin4389 if a cat was a dog it would be a dog lol. Servales and cheetas are more similar to domestic cats than to dogs. their mannerisms are from the feline family. they are faster and more agile than any canine.

The cat has amazingly fast reflexes.

I watched a documentary on domestic cats in which they now think that they can use all the whiskers on their faces to detect tiny movements with them. To the point of people not knowing that their cats had gone blind, and I can verify this. I took our 19 year old Siamese to the vet and she told me he had gone blind. I didn't know! He still walked around the house like he owned it.

Not correct, the serval is trying to get the dog to retreat peacefully. The paw on the chest gesture is something they do in the wild to settle territorial disputes without violence (which is lovely), but it is not playing. The dog is clearly not trying to play either and is intimidated.

Knowing that these two creatures wouldn’t normally meet in the wild😡🤬they must have either grown up together or been together for a while and they have got to know each other and in my personal opinion having had large cats and dogs before😍these two are more playing around than anything else

You can always tell when a cat trust another animal is when they show their belly to them. Jagger shows us that the dog is his play friend and companion.

I just love the crazy eyes that servals all seem to have. My newest cat, whom I adopted from a shelter because of her resemblance to a savannah/serval both in looks & personality, also has the crazy eyes haha. She also has rather large ears for her head so when she gets all hyper (which is let's face it, always) her facial expressions are just ridiculous. I swear she must be low gen savannah mix/abby/ or bengal because she is wickedly intelligent and only has two settings: hyper kitty on crack or passed out sleeping & dead to the world.

The cat is SO incredibly fast. Reaction time and reflexes are off the chart. Brilliant tactic of placing that extended foot enables the cat to not only feel the dog tense before moving but to slow any actual move by the dog to close the distance between them.

Their reflexes are amazing, the cat seemed probably two degrees faster, but that dog was right on point, interesting.

I've owned five Servals and have never seen one be aggressive to my dogs or people. If they don't like you they just avoid you.

Having a cat paw you is such a fun sensation. The dog’s brain is probably overloaded with excitement.

Kudos to Jagger's calm playful demeanour. 👍❤ GS was so tense and could easily escalate to being aggressive. Yet Jagger kept it cool and even went further by laying down and exposing his belly.

The reflexes of the Serval are insane, almost instantaneous. The dog, OTH, wasn't backing down -- I don't think the cats gonna park itself in a hallway and have the dog be afraid to walk by it.

Lol its like thy're fencing, whoever gets a lick in gets a point xD

I love how Servals always play in the same way. One paw against you to hold you at a distance while they tactically nag you.

Serval head movement is on point. The algorithm has blessed us once again.

The Servals fast reflexes make an ordinary house cat look quite slow😍

After watching Serval videos for years, I've decided a Serval is two front paws with a cat attached. They are so expressive, so touchy/feely with those paws.

That serval is really fast but so gentle with the dog. I'm believe it knows how much damage it can do. Sweetie ❤️

The dog would tear that cat to shreds if they fought. The cat might get a bite in, but it would be pointless. There's a reason the cat layed down and exposed it's belly. It knows who the alpha is.

That said the German Shepard would likely not be able to kill it as the Serval would just haul ass at the sign of danger. These fuckers are fast an athletic as hell. Hate how this discussion even came about. Just enjoy the beauty in their relationship and playfulness. Stop with death matches and shit. I'm a dog person but ain't no dog out there fucking with the biggest cats out there if that's what your trying to make this out to be. Unless their is some polar dog breed that hasn't been discovered good luck against a tiger, lion or Jaguar.

i’ve watched many serval videos and i can tell that theyre the friendliest and just most patient cat in the world. when i grow up im definitely adopting a serval because i cant deal with their cuteness just through the screen omg too cute

I've looked at other Serval videos interacting with dogs. I don't know if Servals make good pets but this one is very calm and confident seeing how that dog could bite its head off!

Smart Serval. I am always amazed at how fast cats are.

That has got to be the most awesome dog in his behaviors while the cat interacted with him. I seen in my two boys now 11 months old. How learning to play is a skill that is learned, while some pleasant and nice, others hostile and mean.

Care to explain how gaining 100 lbs would increase the animal's overall speed by 70 mph? P.S. The extra 100 lbs contains skin, bone, internal organs, etc. that do nothing but indirectly , slow the animal down...

You clearly see at the end of the film the cat went down submissive bowed his head first before the dog and stopped making eye contact. Those are signs of submission or just wants to play. Plus if that cat wanted the dog dead he would be have to be quick about it. Once the German shepherd gets a hold of the cat its over for the cat. All the 400 lbs of force is going to break those bones that cat has.

I'd like to know where you find this awesome video editing software that puts the sound all onto the subwoofer channel. I'm thinking about designing some software that will put all the sound onto the left front speaker and up the volume by 50000%, but I'd really like to see how well it panned out for the subwoofer version of that software first.
