Ryu was the mascot for for a bit. When I worked at Capcom, our pay checks would come with the silhouette of Ryu and a globe on the background.

As someone who studied commercial photography, your figure photography is spot on.

I hope this line is a HUGE success so they can mantain this level of quality and price. Can't wait for a 1/12 Zangief and hopefully different timelines of SF characters such as Guy, Menat & Alpha Ken.

Your lighting and picture is always fantastic and love the accessories and size comparisons. The Gi comes off on Ryu! even better.

Great review, really glad you were able to get your hands on these. I only ever saw one Ryu and two Fei Longs at my local Target (bought one of each) before I saw you tweet you weren't able to find them. Was on the lookout ever since and have yet to see them on shelves again.

When Ryu fell over during the size comparisons I was waiting for someone to say "K.O!" Missed out on this guy the first time around; found a local retailer stocking him tonight, so I know what I'm doing tomorrow. Goes without saying the pics look dynamic as hell & I can't wait to put him up against my '97 Wolverine, plus I have a Predator or two who need a lesson in Shin Ryu...

I found this figure at Target three days ago, and I have to say, this is easily one of my favorite figures, it feels good to pose and to just hold, I am definitely going to be getting Chun-Li when she comes out

I passed on SHF ryu because the size didnt work for me, with the exception of if there was ever a navy and yellow repaint. Ive got that Storm version. But this is perfect for the MvC display Ive been slowly building. I really hope they do repaints I can get my favorite look.

I love that JADA added the after image of Ryu's hands into the hadouken. That SHF does not look like Alpha Ryu. Alpha Ryu has a white headband, a different hair color and cut. He does not have the text on his gloves, either. I hope JADA gets to make a proper Alpha Ryu. We have never gotten a 1/12 Alpha Ryu.

Shf ryu looks more like smash bros ryu

I'm good with my sh figuarts version reminds me more of sf2 body type... but love the fei long , can't wait for dhalsim and hope they finish the roster

Just got Ryu. And I love him!!! The joints are SO good. Jada should clean up with this line!!!

The GI can come off and you can pull it down during poses to neaten-up the bunching

All of my Jada Toys SF has loose joints already, it hasn't even been a year. Jada Toys should really fix their QC. I have old Figuarts and Figmas that are over 5 to 10 years old already and they can still hold poses and their articulation are still smooth

These are AWESOME!! Tbh, i think im done with Marvel Legends and a lot of other toy lines. Unless they are providing a "rare" character, i think im going to just save my money for Furay Toys, Jada Toys Street fighter and Mega Man line, Mythic Legions, and selective Storm Collectibles....Im a Fan Boy for Dragon Ball but S.H. figuarts prices for their quality is no longer worth it unless so it pains me but after GT Goku, I'm going to give them a rest 💔

Looks like a simplified SHFiguarts version. Cool for the budget, and has pretty solid articulation. Hate the knee though... But kinda like the way it looks more like a typical kids toy. Has a real wholesome vibe. Now I'm tempted by it.
