Masterclass with Professor Jacques Zoon in which they work on Enescu's Cantabile et Presto. This masterclass took place at Sony Auditorium of the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía, Madrid 2019.

G. Enescu: Cantabile et Presto for flute and piano
Abstract:
In the Cantabile (00:03), Professor Zoon talks about the use of the vibrato in a large hall as the Sony Auditorium. They analyse the most relevant notes within the phrase and the correct articulation for each one. Zoon comments the relationship between dynamics and vibrato and advises specific moments to breathe. They work on trills, on the fermata at the end, the rubato in concrete moments and tuning.
In the Presto (45:48), tempo should be faster and frenetic, very intense and articulated, more in the trills. Zoon gives some corrections of rhythm, durations and accents.

Love your teachings, professor. Your student plays beautifully, yet doesn't get the "life's-farewell" aspect of the cantabile nor does Ms. Ferraz seem to always understand what you mean when you talk about the resolutions to Eb. Appaggiaturas are sometimes part of a continuous melody. It's great that the pianist plays very supportive of the flutist - he plays it like he would an aria: but that's his name! Nomen est omen. @ are you sure he is using a ZoonMaia flute? The flute in this video is not a one piece body and foot like a ZoonMaia is. Btw how can we contact him for trials on his amazing flutes. Their site is very very quiet about this. Do they still produce them?

@ yes I know. Since 2017 when I discovered them I sent them at least 8 mails amd still didn't get anything from them. Do you have any other real contact of them? I would really really love to get in touch with them. Muchas gracias!

It’s doesn’t matter how good for the flute or the wood head joint , he has a terrible tone even worse than student!
