When I read down this comment list. A light bulb came over my head. This is why we will never get anywhere. We will never move forward. Divided idiots talking nonsens to each other . People should really listen to Jacque Fresco, and take it to their hearts before it is too late.

Wow ! After Jacque explained his concept about God in his video , someone in comment section took it upon themselves to represent God. Letting everyone know God's perspective of Jacques video. Everyone has there own opinion. Jacques keeps it simple, without all the nonsense.

"Anything that occurs beyond their [humans] comprehension, they have to invent an excuse for. They have to create gods and demons to account for things. " So simple, yet any religious person can't understand that this is where their whole belief system came from.

You said it very well. . I also think he is a brilliant man, but when it comes to the concept of god, which is not 'knowable' in intellectual means, it is difficult to conjure what that is. . for anyone who has the right experience, then they know, the way an intellectual scientist knows once he has done the right experiment. It is knowable through the 'inner' vision and sound.

This is a good question that I've thought about many times. I can only give you a Biblical understanding, which might not be what your ears prefer. Without darkness, how would we know light? In terms of morality, without evil, what is the value of good? How could you know God's Love if sin were not allowed? Without sin, there would be no death. Without sin, there would be no reason for God to show how much He loves us. Without death, Jesus could have never died on the cross for us.

and that's my point exactly about cowardice. creating problems, then running away from them and pretending they don't exist. people think there is a quick fix for everything and just like sheep you will always look for someone to think for you because you are too cowardly to use your own intelligence. take charge and remove all these culprits (jaques fresco may not be any different) who want to buy out ppl with their money and power and the world will start recovering.

What he missed was that this world as it is, is a place of punishment, of learning, of redemption, etc.. This is man living separate from God, going by that little bit of knowledge he has from his ancestors who ignored God's guidance & took a bite from the tree of knowledge of good & evil. We should be learning at this point that we need God's guidance & relationship with him. It isn't a burden or a restriction, but a gift. Let us find our salvation through Jesus, be redeemed, taught, changed, guided, & brought back into relationship with God the Father/Jesus/Holy Spirit.

@clarkdef look, there is nothing wrong with us humans. in our most neutral state (as babies), we are pure and innocent. but the danger lies in what is taught to that child and the environment it grows up into. i do understand the intentions of this man completely, but in order to come back to that neutral state, each and every person has to individually find it inside themselves. spiritual growth is part of understanding the world and living in it the right way.

No one suggests there won't always be problems, that's part of why this would work, because it constantly fixes the new problems. Yes, it's inherrent that we take what we need, I mean really need. Really the rest is indoctrination, media. I have enough insight to see this with myself as an example. I'm absolutely fine living with just a couple of things right now, and that is a home, food, and internet, as far as materialistic things go anyway. The rest is really vanity, which is not inherrent.

The guy is a genius, but a bit off the mark. He's right about superstition, and knowledge to a point. Some of the most knowledgeable societies in history were also some of the most superstitious. The Mayans were knowledgeable enough that they could predict future events with their calender, and also sacrificed people in history. He should also consider the difference between God, and the gods, and that only one God is willing to adopt people descendant from other gods, of which most are real.

@smukase Also it's not about who out numbers who. That's the way it is and you can't change it by trying to get these leaders to think differently. The way to force their hand and every other leaders hand, is if the totality of the human race changes their ideals to that of what I mentioned. If the world started to come together in thinking, then these leaders would become nothing.

Religion slowed down our evolutionary process of consciousness. More people are awakening to truth. we're starting to see the chaos which thought has created, the formulation of ideas and concepts. We will now do an "INVENTORY" check and get rid of the uselessness of thought. Together Human consciousness and Intelligence will push humanity forward. Not Religion or Politics. Amitabha

Just because greed is rewarded in this system does not mean it disappears in a RBE. I agree, the mechanism that exagerrates want would be removed, but want would still exist. In fact, if true freedom is the goal, I can imagine people may "want" more than they do now. If people have access to whatever they want, why wouldn't they want everything? Want and vanity are not related at all. Advertising and fashion brainwash people into wanting specific items, but do not provide the initial desire.

Without adequate information there is more superstition because god was just a way to explain things we don’t understand. Think of medieval times as an example. He is a manifestation of all the unconventional thoughts and questions that we still can’t explain where there is an unanswered question religion finds it’s way to try and answer it even if it’s completely unanswerable and not proven that is it’s essence. Could also explain the way people attach individual experiences and thoughts to a seemingly unknowable being.

You were right, that was not the answer I was looking for :P but I see your values, since I once too was a man of God, as they say. Obviously we're arguing because we want to influence one another, however, when it's such fundamental differences, it doesn't lead anywhere productive, usually. I will say though, that my thoughts on religion are it is counter-productive in the sense of making a better world. Not all believers obv, but some just can't wait to get out of this hellhole we call earth.

I don't think its the religious concept of God though. I think its more ambiguous than that. The religious God is a little too human, and flawed to be the creator of Earth (imho). No higher intelligence would be materialistic, and definitely wouldn't line up with how we run things now (money). Also, the fact its described as a male(mostly).. is telling.

The Teodice-complex will lead you to understand, that God can't be almighty, all-loving and all-knowing since we are God's creations and we are evil. He knew that Satan would forsake him with his newly created free-will, and yet he created him, to tempt Adam and Eve. Just like he knew Hitler would kill countless of people. Not do destroy anything, to show people that there is a better way. Again, we're not telling people what's best, we show them by example, and let them arrive at the conclusions themselves. Todays richest people have 500ft megayachts and 100 acre lands with superlarge mansions. I think that falls into the category of greed, wealth and vanity. Technology can solve anything. We make cities virtically, on the ocean, underground, and in space. Production would again not be a problem.

So you think that if you dump 7 billion people in a resource-based economy, their current wants disappear? I agree that the want for a career disappears, and certain materialistic objects of desire that exist today, but people will still want. Tastes will develop with technology and the community will still need to cater for materialistic impulses to a degree. The only way a resource-based economy can work is if everybody has everything (not possible), or is rationed to what they can have.

Look at how many are in the 3rd movie, and the funding for trips to make speeches all over the world. And, of course, actors for future movies under development, along with music, and raising enough to be able to pay someone to view the movement on TV. We live in a Money system, they need to use it till the word gets out to the right fukz

False. The VP is a philosophical idea where people cooperate free of superstition, greed, money with the aid of science to create a world where we all can live, learn. and exist. In a way, Jacque Fresco is pointing the way of the distant future for mankind when we get our collective shit together. So many petty and puny minds still stand in the way, I am afraid.

God has given his characteristics in the Bible. To name a few, Goodness, Loving, Merciful, Holy, Righteous, Jealous, Wrathful. evil, He is not. Some children believe their father is evil for disciplining them. Is the father truly evil?

Yes they are. And unlike this current system, it's no utopia, when we have more problems, we solve them, it's an emergent system, it doesnt try to establish anything, other than the goal of sustainability. Life is not about taking, that's indoctrinated by the current system, it's a false incentive that no one is born with. Real motivation comes from information. Which would be given in a huge amount in a RBE. People would give, because it helps themselves too. Watch more lectures, get more info.

without darkness, there can be no light. without suffering there cannot be appreciation. without humility there can be no empathy. without pressure there cannot be growth. For everything light there must be a dark. for everything high there must be a low. For everything has an opposite... this is the balance of the multiverse we live in. The hard part is maintaining that balance and making sure the darkness doesn't outweigh the light. In ourselves and in the world around us. We must love

@jimmyt3411 The scientific claim everything has to be observable with the senses is just one part within the philosophy of science. There's also rationalism, explained by Karl Popper who uses falsification to stipulate a more correct means of knowledge. The big difference between religion and science is that the latter is always in search for the falsification of their - what you call - scientific dogma's. So comparing religion with science philosophically is a hard thing to do if you ask me.

@pwih1987 Life is explained through Science. With testing in labs under different envoronments, life could be developed that might closely resemble life on other worlds. Earth has such diversity of life. I see no reason why similer life can't exist on other Earth-Like Planets.

Obviously it's simple for christians not to care about this life and the improvement of human beings, since they will enter paradise and have peace while looking down on the poverty and war. The human species has progressed in an exponential curve, however, the catholic church and religion has nothing to do with that. If God is almighty he IS evil. If he's not evil he's not almighty.
