Jacque Fresco - Can't Exceed Your Environment - Dec. 28, 2010

The Venus Project proposes an alternative vision of what the future can be if we apply what we already know in order to achieve a sustainable new world civilization. It calls for a straightforward redesign of our culture in which the age-old inadequacies of war, poverty, hunger, debt, and unnecessary human suffering are viewed not only as avoidable but as totally unacceptable. Anything less will result in a continuation of the same catalog of problems inherent in today's world.

The Venus Project is truly the post-scarcity world we need today! Star Trek had that, and we need it in reality now! So many benefits and adjunct areas where the Venus Project would transform this sorry state of capitalistic dysfunction into a potential realization for the people. That alone makes it all worthwhile indeed. Jacque Fresco was a giant before his time.

What so great is when you have certain opinions/ideas and you learn that others share them for similar reasons. I love these talks Jacque does. He says the same things over and over mostly because the problems are the same things done over and over. But it's moments like this where you hear him say something different that makes it worth while.

I'd like fresco to give more talks and elaborations on why racial or national prejudice is limited thinking. It seems to me that racism is still a problem, and one of the greatest obstacles we have to overcome, before people can understand that creating a new and improved environment, as proposed by the venus project, will also create a new and "improved" type of people (at least improved in terms of values and behavior).

jacque fresco is absolutly right when he says that it has to do with the environment becouse i use to suffer from depression becouse my way of thinking and life style was absolutly diferente from the my environment until a friend of mine told me maybe you should try to live in a diferente country where people have the way of thinking and lifestyle like you do and thats exactly what i did and all my depression went away from that day i realize that depression only exist becouse the individual is not in the environment that he wants

It's frustrating to see that the current attitudes reflect leaders who were never chosen. Jaque had a better option and many more. The sick crazy world leaders have no want to set us free. Without us to consume they are nothing. They do not want to let go of control. It's not that many do not want to change, many do. The amazing creative solutions get slammed and stalled. Choice is an illusion in this environment of control. These are all open prisons and their latest answer is to feed us insects. The lie that the governments are ensuring security to only themselves has not been realized.

I disagree bout the machine concept of not feeling... you could program it to feel, have ambition.. it would just take much more information, better cpu's, etc. It would be very complex. Funny thing is that I believe it wont matter what we are made of - metal, flesh and bone.. the complexity of what we are, how we could make the world a better place and take care of each other.. that's the most important thing, I believe a machine could be better than humans on that matter.. if they are properly programmed for that.

5:45-5:57 - man will learn to control things on his behalf. Think that prediction was right because the human brain is powerful enough to do anything. All the people need to unite. Just pick a day to start rebuilding. The majority see now that this monetary system is not the way to go, we all know we are sick, but we haven't much time to fix it. We have the ability and the technology to make this planet an amazing place, where peace, love, and freedom could rule the land, yet we choose to live this way. We have the technology to make anything run cleaner, last longer, and have no cost. Tesla made free energy that was destroyed by J.P Morgan because with “Free stuff”, one cannot enslave the masses. I do not care what you believe in, I am telling you, both the left-wing and the right-wing belong to the same bird. The monetary system is/has taken over this planet and we continue to work for them because we are enslaved. Our natural resources are diminishing. Meanwhile, our population is exponentially increasing. Any and all scientist agree the resources are running out. NASA says it will happen within just a couple decades. I do believe this is why we see the agendas being pushed today. Did you know President George W. Bush bought 298,840 acres of land in Paraguay? Bush did not buy this land for any other reason besides the fact that it sits on top of the biggest aquifer on planet earth. Aquifer Guarani covers roughly 460,000 square miles under parts of Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Argentina. What do you think this world will look like when water is the new GOLD? Do you want your children to live in a savage world? It all comes down to this people. That upon everything else, what do you want for your children?

Patriotism seem really stupid to me, even as a child I never understood it. If you showed me videos of Jacque Fresco while I was a kid or as a teen, I would've gotten every word he had stated here and agree to them. You don't need a degree or much exposure to alternative lifestyles to understand what Mr. Fresco is saying here. Patriotism is very limited to human progress and creativity. I owe my uniqueness due to being exposed to various cultures at a young age and having a really diverse family tree, especially from my mothers' side.
