Jacoby Shaddix Feeling Suicidal (Papa Roach Interview)

Музыка

Jacoby Shaddix from Papa Roach talks about what it's like to be in a place of feeling suicidal. He talks about how many of those feelings feed on isolation and how he's fought suicidal thoughts in his own life.
If you're feeling suicidal, you are not alone.
Jesse Leach from Killswitch Engage felt the same way:
• Jesse Leach on His Dep...
So did Elliott from Blessthefall:
• To Be Here Is A Gift -...
All of them mention it's important to talk about the pain you're going through. Comment below your story, or share on our anonymous Support Wall and receive encouragement on the same day you post: forum.heartsupport.com

I feel like Jacoby Shaddix is really the type of person who EVERY addict, depression victim, or anyone who struggles with a substance needs to have a SERIOUS talk with. Because with all the unfortunate shit hes had to deal with in life and how much it influenced his life, I fell like he can really help them on a super high level. We love you Jacoby, keep doing what you're doing!

I have been living like a zombie for the second year. I have no interest in anything and feel almost nothing. my parents do not believe that I feel bad, and my mother only aggravates the situation abusing me psychologically. she never accept me. I had suicide plans, but out of pity for my friends and relatives, I couldn't do it. there is no way to go to the doctor, so I struggle with this problem myself. music is the one among the few things that can cause me sincere emotions. it's like talking to a friend who is experiencing the same thing as you. thank you, Jacoby.

Feelings of guilt and fear prevented me from committing suicide on multiple occasions. In the final moment, I just couldn't imagine inflicting the loss of my life onto those that know me and possibly making them depressed. The worst experience I had was when those thoughts and feelings were drowned out by the thought of being dead. The thought of no more suffering gave me an overwhelming feeling of peace and comfort. I was determined that suicide was the only option. But then I managed to reach out and get help.

Had this huge fight with my boyfriend recently. I've been dealing with depression for quite a while, struggling with meds, therapy and self harm. I had my bad moments but this, this was my breaking point. I don't know what I would do if it wasn't for my dog that was going everywhere with me and try to engage me to play with him or pet him. It feelz good to know that I am not alone in my struggles. That I can relate to people whom I admire. Thank you for sharing this with us. You probably saved a lot of people in this community.

It can be selfish, but doesn't always come from that place. The issue I've had when I've been through it is usually guilt. Always trying to talk people through their problems because I can't bear to see them hurt. However after a while I start to feel like the cause of their pain.. that I'm the common link with everyone I try to help and it is my fault. That the weight is too heavy and I keep bringing others down. Then the voices and images of every mistake you've ever made flash before me and then I feel like the only way to save others is to eliminate the one causing them pain. Problem is... when you are so focused on helping with the negatives... sometimes you lose yourself and neglect the positives.

I almost drowned myself. It was because of all of my sisters problems. Her boyfriend has a tumor in his head or something like that. So he gets looked at weird and bullied by strangers.. He has a super bratty family that make everyone suicidal. Luckily, me and my sisters boyfriend have gone out of that suicidal state. We were put on this earth for a reason. We have a purpose. 😊 I am cool and beautiful on the outside but on the inside I'm heart broken.

Yeah just so you guys know… suicide is the most selfish thing you can do and you destroy lives when you do it. The world is not better without you no matter how much you believe it. I speak from unfortunate experience. Don’t do it. In fact, if any one feels suicidal, message my instagram and I’ll talk to you about my experience. You can make a decision off of that.. my insta is same as my KZread.

I agree that it is a selfish act. But on the other hand, doing one thing in your life for yourself and not taking into consideration what other people think of you and your actions must be so freeing. That feeling of relief... When I talked to my friends about these kinds of thoughts they said, that they hate when people feel down all the time, are negative and always pity themselves. I think I should change my friends. When they make fun of your mental state and your suicidal thoughts, they are really not right people to have around.
