Your machine is much cleaner than mine. Nice!

@18:27 when you have the parts laid out on the table, the top left "CV" shaft is what I need. I need both pieces. The piece that mounts to the mowing deck and the piece that mounts to the shaft that you are repairing. I have looked everywhere on the internet and I cannot find it. I even have the original Jacobsen part number. All list it as obsolete. If you have any resources I would greatly appreciate a shout back. I have a Jacobsen C318G with a 60" deck. Part number of the 2 pieces together is 130970. Great work by the way. I suspect I will have to replace my bearings to be on the safe side before I sell mine. Thanks PS. I did go to Ladd's website. They at least showed my model and some parts but they did not show anything forward of the shaft that you are working on

Thanks. Man, I got nothing regarding OEM parts...You might try calling them (Ladd's), they might be able to do some more digging. Alternatively, you could have one made. Lot's of people make PTO shafts. You might even be able to modify an off the shelf piece from Tractor Supply or the like.

I enjoyed this very much! I'm known to "make it happen" when all else fails or the price of the part is worth more than the item I'm repairing. My last Homemade lathe was a cordless ryobi drill strapped to my workbench with conduit clamps turning square 3/8" stock steel down to 3/16" dowels. I taped 10 hacksaw blades together(that's all I had) to remove the bulk then a file for finishing.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! Ingenuity is a precious skill. Your lathe sounds clever. That's a toughy taking square stock and making it round.

Could you take some pictures of the deck belt? I am having a terrible time putting a new one back on

What size belt is on the mower deck? I have the same mower and can't seem to find on locally and need to order it online. Thanks

I don't know the size but the Jacobsen Part Number is 390264 . You can order one from here: www.rrproducts.com/aspx/store/SchematicDetail.aspx?s=JACOBSEN^TURFCAT_50_60^ROTARY_MOWER^ROTARY_PARTS Finding parts for this thing is becoming increasingly difficult. There is a dealer in Memphis, TN called Ladd's (901-324-8801). They have been helpful over the years in tracking down part numbers.
