It should also include Marikana murders, root causes of problems in companies that defraud peoples pensions like Steinhof and campaign fundings that are not lawful or create conflict of interest among other big things that slide down the barrel without attendance. We should not leave out the fact that Zuma has his side of the story but for some reason I don't understand why, NO ONE IS LISTENING TO WHAT HE IS SAYING. Instead we pass judgement. Not saying anything being done is what I condone but he has the right to be heard and for both sides of the coin to be tried. Would you Mr Shenge go to a hearing where the judge is someone not applying the law in a just and fair manner? Is it REALLY difficult for the state to provide an environment where ANYONE sitting trial to feel safe that it will be fair and just. Would anyone sit trial if a verdict is already out and feel like the trial will serve any purpose?

I find this a travesty that an Elder of our country chooses to use the historical analogy of the sacrifices by the Zulu forefathers did. One wants to believe that history teaches us based on mistakes made. Sadly that the forefathers sacrificed themselves with death. The so called government of the time crucified them! Was it justified of the colonizers to kill them? Have we not learnt anything from that. In our modern day civilization have we not learnt not to subject each other to torture and psychological trauma be allowed? Mr. Zuma appealed to the judgement due to his age and health. Can we as a civilized nation appeal that the lesson seek a lesser judgement like house arrest? I understand that the people gathered at Nkandla are coming from various parts of the country, so can we be right in saying its a Zulu tribal dissent? What I also know is that most the Nguni tribes evolved from the Zulu nation. So where do we differ then? Are seeing the real enemy?

its obvious that there was injustice cause all those people who were sentenced were indigenous people and non of those who came to our continent and established that what we call justice system of the courts were condemned and being sentenced yet countless injustice was done to our people, so we cannot compare that time with now, neither allow injustice to prevail again. so we cant encourage people to subject themselves to those same condition as the past to injustice for the sake of peace. in my opinion looking at those examples is all wrong, we now live in democratic country where everybody entitled to exercize his rights when he feels he has been ill treated.

Where was him when mandela and the rest went to prison? No black South African who was fighting apartheid didn't go to prison but him he was give the position to lead the Zulu government which was not through democracy but as a reward from whites to him for not fighting. He has no track record of fighting for anything accept talking.

It was better if we have chosen Chief Buthelezi than Zuma even though he was IFP leader.That is why we say change the constitution so that we choose a president directly!We would avoid this thing of having people like Zuma and Magashule as leaders!

The Constitution is supposed to protect every individual from the abuse of government and the highest court must honour what is right, even if the majority want something else. Otherwise we don't need a constitution, if we just do the will of the people.

What I can't understand is that one court has to apply to another court for contempt of court. What I mean is that the Commission is not a court. And if there were no rules like that clearly states the jail time or fine to be paid if you do not appear in the Commission, then these could have been added and the people to appear could have been informed. So in the absence of clear rules and sentences and fines relating to contempt, it does come as a shock for both the person who was sentenced and others.
