Dude absolutely!! Make ‘‘em and we will buy them!! I bet most anglers have tried to make their own jigs as well. I know I’ve done it. I made my own to experiment with different colors that you normally can’t buy over the counter.

Me to!! I'd sure try them if you make them. One of my absolute favorites is a D&N jig, Cumberland Craw color. I've caught bass from Indiana all the way to Florida on that jig and color. Semper Fi from an old Marine
Always in for a treat when these kinds of vids drop. Thx J.W. For these to get me on top of the game
Love the Speed Trap and the DT cranks. On the chunk trailer, I use a worm piece as well to keep it from riding up. I put the fat part of the chunk down. Most of the old school jig fisherman do as well.
Thank u Jacob! We are lucky that you enjoy helping us guys! Appreciate you buddy!
Thanks buddy, always helps with confidence when you know you're throwing the right stuff.
Tons of free info from the best in the game....works for me. Thank you sir!
Thanks for the information. Good luck this year 🎣
Thanks for the info, plz keep it up, love learning from the best .
absolutely!! make them jigs!! with all the success you have in the sport and just your character, many people are looking up to you as well as wanting to use any and every bait you throw. the demand would be insane for something you tie/make yourself!!
Always great tips and love your thinking process
Jacob I learn so much from you and how you break things down thank you for taking your time to teach us my daddy said when your fishing and not learning take a step back cause there’s a problem cause we should learn every time we are on the water
As long as there’s a finesse jig in the lineup I’m all in. Use a lot of full size jigs too but in the last few years the compact jigs have really moved to the front for me.

Ned Rigs def have a place in my arsenal all year, but especially with cooler water
Jacob I think it is great idea to develop your own line of jigs. Being the top angler in the country at present I think the timing is perfect. Great info on the video and thanks that for sharing your knowledge to help us catch more bass.
Great information for a new fishing person. Thanks so much.
Been fishing for 50 years .need confidence in my baits . Presentation is important. Great vedios .thank you for the good info. More people need to have the passion you have.
Let’s go!! It’s almost mlf time. Ding!!
I appreciate all the tips! even though I fish ponds, I could still try and use these tips to help me catch some Biggems in Ponds!
I have all of those baits tied on already for our club tournament on Table Rock this weekend. Thanks for all the great information
Always thread my jig trailer on. Fishing highland reservoirs like you, the lure selection was spot on.
Great tips. Thanks for sharing. Will be fishing today
I grew up in Indiana, southern tip of L. Michigan. Weather patterns have changed but in the 80's we would fish a lipless (rattle trap) at ice out. The water was still super cold, but we speed cranked em, absolutely burning them, and get that reaction bite. Some of my best 100+ fish days have come that way. When they're on it, they're on it BIG! Good video bro!
Thanks so very much for the tips! VERY GOOD INFORMATION! Chickamauga is my home lake also. I usually fish in the Soddy Daisy area. Very glad I found your channel. Good luck on the tournament trail. Tracy Brown from Hixson TN
Nice Fleece Jacob!!! I got one just like it I love it!! Love the videos & info you give!! Keep it up big man!!
Lookin forward to gettin back at it here in Michigan, love your videos! Bass fishin is the best!!
Love the pics Jacob. Good luck.
I usually always thread on my jig trailers but Iv seen some underwater footage of the chunk tipped and it has a real nice flowing action so I’m gonna give it more of a try!
Awesome tips ... like all your stuff.
Awsome stuff Got some neat stuff from Academy .Thanks
Yes on your jigs, I fish a lot here in the Crossville, TN area and am always looking for something to improve my fishing.
Awesome content buddy! Yes make the jigs and we’ll buy them. I love your line of spinner Bates and buzz Bates
Awesome video and very informative. I would love to see you create a jig and be able to share it with us all.
GOOD LUCK BRO 👊🏿 THAT WAS SOME GREAT INFO..
Thx for the training I’m a crank bait fan 20 plus ft good luck in the new season I will be following you and crazy man Dustin
I put a chunk on both ways. The finesse jig I thread on and the full sized jig I stick it on so it hangs down lower and makes a bigger profile.
Great content as always!
Sold choices… I sometimes forget about the Speed Trap… such a great crank ! Also, on the JW Jig, I’d be interested if it offered something different from what’s out there … head design, keeper, etc . I’d do seeing what mods you do to your jigs to adapt them to your fishing style. Have an awesome day, and best of luck on your season !
Awesome advice as always.
I really appreciate this video!
Jacob, the red pattern correlates to crawfish season down south. Pond raised crawfish are available a little earlier than backwater crawfish, but since I've been little, we started catching crawfish late January into February.
Awesome video. I just received my hoodie from Academy. All those baits are nice..
You make the jigs.....I'll buy them. You might be the brightest young fisherman I've ever seen. Have a great 2023 season.
Love Magellan outdoors, Awesome stuff for a great price.
Yes we want jigs with your trailer included 🔥
the ramble is good...like minded fisherman...if you dont get excited and ramble.....maybe thats why some dont excel like you...the passion for what you're doing is in your voice...and the content is priceless to those that cant fish as much as you do ..years of practice and fishing in a short video for that amount of info and content ...the extent of the explanations have taught me so much understanding...not...do this and throw this....but the reasons why, earned by those that learned the hard way is so amazing to be able to learn so easily from my computer at work....on the way to work....at lunch...at home...losing sleep to learn when water time isnt available is incredible....good luck this year...ur own videos prolly will make it tougher year after year lol

also...definately make some jigs...i wanna c finesse, football, and swim jigs with ur perpective put in them....i think theyre more useful with ur ideas...cuz ur from near where i am as well....than the punch, etc types....
Most definitely would like to use a jig that you designed. As long you cover the entire spectrum from small finesse all the way up to a heavy stout hook swim jig I am in!
Honestly am surprised you don’t have your own jig out already!! I mean come on your one of the top if not the top angler in world no doubt. Love to see it!!
Definitely would be interested in your jigs! I watch all your vids and trust you the most
Always great content Jacob, you've been my favorite angler since Lake Hartwell in march of 2012. I think you placed like 30th place that tournament but I just seen a drive and attitude In you I hadn't seen in anyone else. So salute to you for being what all us weekend warriors pretend to be while out there on the lake by ourselves 😂😂 oh, I'm the only one that pretends to talk to a camera?? Oh ok..... 😂 Anyhow I'd love for you to sell your own jigs! I'll pre order now! Great video boss, stay safe out there this year and best of luck here in a few days. We'll be watching!
Hope I can catch ya D'arbonne Wheels and good luck brotha! Thanks for the knowledge as well.
Go for it man! I just ordered melting pot and first mold myself
Thanks for you time
Nice hint on the Speed Trap.. we all have them.. often forget 🤷🏻♀️
Love the detail
I’m definitely interested in seeing you make your own jigs!
Good stuff man
My top 5 this time of year are Drop Shot, Texas Rig worm, swimbait, Crankbait, rooster tail.

From a 72 year young, Drop the spinner, add a jig. The rest i am right there with you !
Jacob, love the intro especially with the family! Make the jigs Bro!
I enjoyed this video a lot, I think It would be a great idea If you created your own jig, cause I know I'd buy it. Keep up the great work Jacob! God bless dude
I'm ready for some travel vlogs!!!
Good Stuff JW! Always like hearing your take on different styles of baits. You must know what your talking about if your AOY! Oh! …and Make Some Jigs!
I have zero confidence in a stuck chunk it feels wrong, but I felt the same way about wacky rig until I got the first bite. I am going to try the plastic to cover the exposed shank makes since. Doesn't hurt it was an idea by the young GOAT.
Good luck this season!
For sure. I would buy your jigs. I’m ready to place an order already lol.
Awesome way to catch up from a MIA in January!...Yes...Chunks look funny when not pegged. Great Tip. New JW-Jigs? Why not bruh? Get it out there, reap the rewards. It will sell. Great selection this month. Thank you
A jig is my absolute favorite bait to fish. I fish it year round in all conditions. When I go fishing I'm looking to catch the biggest fish there. I'd love to see what you come up with, send me some that you like and I'll try them out for you in Louisiana where I live and I'll let you how they work and what I'd change. I got no problem being a beta tester for you lol. Great video too!
thread if i am skipping in shallow water where the fall doesn't really matter. if glide and fall are a consideration nose hook the chunk with the fat pad down. having the fat pad down provides more kicking action to the legs (IMO) 10 days to Day 1...can't wait! Back to Back!!!!!
im all on board for the JWHEEL JIGS!!
I love that bait for crank and float
J Dub I thread my chunks on. I'm a jig fisherman. It's my favorite winter time bait and yes I'd be interested in your jigs.
When are you going to be back on MLF tv Saturday mornings. Watching you “hob knob around” was my routine. Thanks for all the tips. I’m a huge fan.
I live in Northeast Louisiana and throw jigs all of time! I would love to see you build a jig! I am off working in Illinois so I will not be in west monroe for the first event but wish I was going to be, good luck!
Nice picks this month even for Florida the weather here is bouncing around down to a water temp of 60-70 degrees here in Central Florida the fire tiger and the red craw are killer on spawning bass. Come on down anytime. ;^)
i would definitely be interested in fishing with your jigs!
I'm a big jig guy and would definitely like to see what you would come out with! Good luck this year 🔨
That’s so funny you just said that about threading a chunk on because I feel the same exact way it doesn’t look right hanging off the tip! Threading it on is the only way I use them
I guessed allot of them I just had your order out of whack😉 And bring the jigs on! DING!!
I would absolutely try a Jacob Jig!
Yes make em!
Yes absolutely come out w a line of jigs, a jig of jigs to combine a swimming jig/flipping jig/football jig
Yes I do want to see you make your own jigs so I can get some ideas when you do it
Thank you for all the tips. I bought some Rapala Husky Jerk jerk baits and still trying to learn them. Have you used these before? Don’t hear about them much. Just wondered if they fish like the rest. Thank you for your time! And Good Luck to you this year!
@jdubya3498

Look at ott Defoe’s page. He uses the husky jerk a lot
I use a piece of worm threaded on hook and then i just tip the chunk because underwater it gives a way better presentation..
Hey Jacob, I noticed you put the chunk on “fat” side up, I’ve always rigged Uncle Josh fat side down and therefore do the same with the plastic chunks. Would love to hear you thoughts on that. Thanks, have a great year!

Following. Would luv to hear your input on the trailer position and what's ur reason for it. Go get the Sir. Fellow Tennessee man here Townsend myself. Thanks for all the information
JW you the best out there! if you design a Jig it will sell, trust me. I like threading my pig Trailer, more realistic. Great presentation JW keep-up the great work.
Yes would love to see some JW jigs, if there is going to be a finesse jig you should make one that can be fished on 12 pound fluorocarbon
I make my own jigs .... fishing pressure lakes here in ohio and Indiana and these fish get custom to alot of the markets baits you buy.....
Yessss please make your own jig🔥 🛎
Headed to Palestine this February and definitely can see a few of these baits on deck.
Great vid. Do you or anyone on tour throw bucktails? They don’t ever show up on networks but proven to catch everything salt or fresh.
Absolutely make a jig! I would so buy it!
Love the video the chick is my home river and your dead on what your saying too us thanks brother.
If you make Jigs I would definitely buy them. Custom trailers would be good too
J Wheeler Jack'm Jig, Yeah I can see that. Let's see what you can give us to make us better fishermen like you Jwheels. Good video dirty water ones are for us in Texas. Thank you
Definitely I'd look at those jigs
I mainly use Hackney's Hack Attack jigs...but I'd definitely buy a jig that you design.
The Ding 🛎 Jig I’d buy it
Honestly I feel like I would trust your jigs more than any other brand. You have proved time and time again of your professionalism and knowledge in the business. If you do decide to do so, not only will it appeal to your fan base but also other professional fisherman as well. As long as its promoted well, I dont see a downside to making your own jigs.
Love too see you make your own jigs….
Yes, please make your own jigs. I agree that there needs to be more choices out there for representation and effective presentation to try and catch more fish.
Dude I been busting my ass to get a boat, I work 2 jobs n try to save but its impossible to get enough.... I fished with a guy last year 6 outta 7 tournaments we placed, I caught 98% of the bass. Your the man wheeler!! I hope to one day get out on the water by myself! I'll be rooting for you all year!

Andy Bales... just started kayak fishing, and it is truly a blast! You can get into those small pockets, that are virtually untouched.
