A genuine article, terrible he passed in a car accident at just 27 years old, had he made it to tour with Bob Marley, he would have became a household name, RIP Jacob, you left us too soon, maximum respect.

He was a Killa'...Inner Circle was famous too and they were their OWN band. Jacob was a Rastaman..He wasn't called Killa' for nothing. The radio stations played him as much as Tosh and Isaacs. Most of them played different music from Bob's..Bob went a different way, not wrong just different. Jacob and Tosh were household names to us.

This song/movie brings back memories. We chuffed up @ Laurie Hall Park then went to the Odeon Theatre to watch this movie "Rockers". A LOT of the family came & we took up 2 whole rows (back then picture theatres were huge) plus Marcia who was a baby in her pram was sitting in the aisle. Good Marsden Point "shit" back then & "cheap" made the movie even more IRIE. RASTAFARI.

Jacob simply oozes class and possessed a bubbly personality which usually evident in his catchy tunes. Don't be fooled by the up-tempo beats though, his lyrics are often quite profound. I saw him in the Rockers movie many years ago and he basically stole the show :-). What a loss to Reggae music. R.I.P Rasta

what a beautiful song this is. i'm planning on going to Jamaica in march 2015 for the cricket and hope to soak up some of the magic. it's become a bit of an obsession in the last few years, what an amazingly rich cultural output they have for such a small island. where i live there's quite a sizable jamaican population too (my junior footy team was managed by a jamaican guy and nearly half the team was of jamaican origin) and they're such sound guys as well
