Jacob's tearful eyes at 6:30... I can't imagine how it must have been to hear all of that live.

This was his encore at the Kennedy Center when I went--It was just beautiful, no orchestra, just guitar and free harmony--and then he turned it into an audience choir and it was pretty similar to what I think Heaven will be like.

YES. I was there and it was beautiful, I wish I recorded it, because I can’t find anything about it at Kennedy Center

From what I’ve seen that’s close to how The Corries used to traditionally perform it!

This performance..... GOOOOSH. I always find myself not being able to breath as the orchestra join in at the end. Such magic

This is such a lovely performance. I can't help getting goosebumps every time I hear it. There are so many textures, with the guitar and violin, the presence of the orchestra, them having three very distinct voices and singing styles. I love how the song ebbs and flows. Adding layers with every verse, whilst keeping things restrained. Jacob's second verse reining it in to maximize the contrast with the incredible climax. I believe the Metropool Orkest are the real heroes here. They are just incredible. So versatile, and having such a recognizable sound both in playing as in their arrangements.

Finally someone uploaded it again! Sam is such an extraordinary singer; always so expressive. The sense of fragility in his voice is so enticing and terrifying in his verse.

This is actually the first time I’ve seen the performance and not just heard the audio. I am not disappointed :)
