I saw fake JH lipsticks at the market today. They were smooth and looked fresh, no hair no patches no lint no holes. Oh the irony :')

Funny how this week when independent lab reports are coming out showing the lipsticks are positive for mold that she disappears from the internet. I smell a lawsuit

She was not ready to be a CEO she treated this launch like a damn collab. Girl it was so unprofessional that you deleted all your social media bc you couldn’t handle the heat. Also not taking responsibility of anything!

She has an excuse for everything. Safiya molded her own lipsticks for fun in her own home and yet none of them have these "oxygen" bubbles.

I was thinking the same thing!!! I trust Safiya's kitchen lipsticks way more than Jaclyn...

Her brand is supposed to be a luxury brand. If I pay $18.00 for a lipstick, I had better get something that looks fabulous, no damn fibers, black hair, yuck smell, mold. OMG! What the Hell.

Okay but literally $1 dollar lipstick companies can avoid all these issues so why can't an $18 lipstick? 💀Not buying this story OR the product

I see what you’re trying to say & I agree with the sentiment but let’s address the issue still Generally drugstore lipsticks come from large brands that use the cheapest ingredients and cheapest formulas that hold up well in transportation. That makes them cheap and they hold up well for consumers. However. The ingredients used are often not vegan, not Kosher, not gluten free (yes, people with celiac disease actually cannot use cheap lipsticks), and often have been tested thoroughly on animals. Not to mention that while preservatives keep a makeup looking nice for a long time, they are not ideal to put on, well, your lips for example. It is easy to say the ingredients are safe by warping the amounts used (it’s safe for example in amounts below what the average consumer will ingest while using the lipstick). So yes if all you care about is function then go for a $1 lipstick. But Jaclyn Cosmetics is a bad example of an expensive lipstick. You can find amazing, cruelty free, vegan, totally safe for ingestion, gluten free lipsticks that are actually GOOD for your skin&lips, safe to ingest in almost any quantity (including the amount most people usually ingest, lookin’ at you drugstore lipsticks 👀) for a little bit more than the cheapies and know you’re paying for something that’s worth it

I don’t own any of JH lipsticks. All I’m saying is even cheap lipstick have no hairs or bubbles on them. For $18.00 plus dollars, you should expect perfection.

Sure everything can be found inside Jaclyn’s lipsticks, but surely her honesty can’t be.

Right!! This whole thing has really opened my eyes to how crazy it is to trust someone without a background in the ACTUAL make up industry to create the makeup i will put on my face. Every time there is an issue, jaclyn has said "so and so told me" "I was confused too" "I didn't know what was happening" "we are investigating". I just feel like Jeffree Star, Melana, etc would never say any of these things because they would KNOW what was happening and there wouldn't be info handed down from a 3rd party. Eye. Opener.

Interesting to note that the one document has the date April 2017. She launched in May 2019. Her “new” lipsticks have an expiration date two years from now in 2021. Two years ago was 2017. Assuming the lipsticks have a shelf life of two years and if her lipsticks are old, they expired THIS YEAR RIGHT AROUND THE TIME SHE LAUNCHED. Coincidence?

Id rather fingerprints on the tube than fibres on the lipstick

FDA approved doesn't always mean safe. They approve woodchips or fermaldihyde in cereals which is injested so what makes her think lipstick is not going to be approved for usage with crap in them.

When I ship fish, I use cold packs or heat packs to maintain temp-minimal cost compared to damaged shipment.

I’ve got an immune disorder that causes a lot of allergies (50+). I buy any makeup that I’m not allergic to because I’ve got close to zero options. These lipsticks are a very serious danger to my health. Luckily I don’t buy before reviews come out, because I would’ve been in a lot of trouble had I even swatched these (no matter the fuzz being gloves, hairs, mold etc)

I’ve never followed the beauty blogger drama, but this channel has turned me on to it. Spill it, girl!

Wow! JH's lipstick was going to be a hazard to my life if I had ordered 1. I take immunosuppressant therapy drugs.

All she has to do is recall all lipsticks and offer refunds. There are so many things being found in these lipsticks, I am honestly shocked that she's pushing out excuse after excuse instead of giving these people back their money.

She could have avoided most of this if she just recalled the lipsticks, end of Story. Instead she looks for excuses and reasons. She doesn't understand no one cares, it doesn't change the bad quality and the harm it can cause! She should have stepped up, TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ONCE.

The video of her a few years ago when they had to stop the Becca product is exactly what she said on her video about these lipsticks. With her “even though so many like them only 1% didn’t like them” and blaming the labs or manufacturers. Either she never knows anything that is going on, or she likes to act dumb when something goes wrong with launches. It’s a shame that a grown woman can’t own up to her mistakes and just recall the lipsticks. The longer she lets this go the less chances of making it out of this her brand has.

Maybe she’ll put out a foundation and your pores will look just like the lipsticks.

On manufacturing floors in sweatshops you will find lots of broken glass. They use exposed lighting with exposed bulbs. When the bulbs burst, which eventually they do, glass shards go everywhere and the workers don’t clean them up. Glass has been found in processed food that originated (was processed) in Asia.
