These are the words of every seventeen year old girl who has ever lived. She’s had her parents, now she’s got her guardian, and she’s feeling impatient to break free. She probably does have a direction she wants to go, but she might have people telling her that she’s taking too many risks. No risk, no reward. I would probably trust her instincts, seeing as she knows her limits and how to handle herself. The ep showed signs of brilliance, but she was holding back. She didn’t go for the soaring vocals, for which she’s famous (not sure if that was a choice of hers or her team). I think River showed her sweet spot, strong,sassy and in control.

Good to see /hear something new from Daneliya.

She released a video to this song. Makes the song a lot more impactful! And she looks great in that. Her acting really comes shows through.

Daneliya!❤Great song. Sad but true message. I do wonder if her disillusionment is mostly regarding creative control and empowerment. Or if the question is greater than that and more simple. Does she actually want to sing in the first place? It seems like it’s kind of all been swirling around in her mind for a while. For now, it seems like the plan is to continue to sing, in her way and on her own terms. Maybe her new management and these writers and producers have helped. I just wish for her to be happy and healthy. And if singing is detrimental to these things then I don’t want her to do it. We will what the future holds. I think it would be bright whether she sings or not. ❤

I agree Ann. I believe she has another song coming soon with the same team. I would love to see her continue on her musical journey but whatever she chooses to do in her life, I support her.

Мне кажется пение всегда ей нравилось и вряд ли оно ей вредит. Обычно песня несет в себе элемент творчества. Она может экспериментировать, пробовать разные жанры, передавать собственные эмоции.Кроме пения в жизни ведь много других граней. По этой песне я делаю вывод, что она определенно еще не американская, а евразийская девушка. Интересно было бы узнать про ее новый менеджмент. Я впервые об этом слышу.

I think it was Sony that wanted her to go a different direction. Her parents were not happy with her management and I think Daneliya and Sony have parted ways. Daneliya has new management now.

On her Instagram she says that she has to remove her last ep songs from her channel do to contact issues. I believe Sony wanted her to go in a different direction than she wants. I believe she didn't have a full grasp of what her last songs were about.

No one knows the meanings of this song. Here is my take. Daneliya was with Sony when she made the 3 EP. She is not with them now. In fact she had to come to Toronto to make this new song. That's it. She promises a bunch of new originals, and now she knows she can write music. I see a new start for her, even her name.

You know I don’t know that Daneliya was ever actually “with” Sony. I feel like that would have been major news, relatively speaking. Although I read something on another comment that suggested she had been told essentially that if she didn’t fall in line she wouldn’t make music in America. Maybe there was something there, but I don’t know. Also, I don’t know that it makes much sense that she would be essentially blacklisted by Sony in America but welcomed to make music at Sony Music Publishing in Toronto. That doesn’t seem to add up really to me. And I always got the sense that Daneliya would not actually sign with anyone until she was at least 18. But truth is, I really don’t know what deals she does or doesn’t have and what options she may or may not have. That’s all a mystery to me.
