Jackson's Art Watercolours Testing & First Impressions

When I first started testing out these Jackson's Art watercolours, I wasn't sure what to expect, in this video I share my first impressions.
I swatch out all of the Jackson's Art Watercolours and test out each of the colours, before creating a mini watercolour painting on the Jackson's Two Rivers Watercolour paper.
I use the Jackson's masking fluid and aplicator to compare to other leading brands of masking fluids. I'm highly impressed with the results!

Cool video! Can I make a suggestion though? I see so many artists using spray bottles to moisten their watercolors, but they also spray the area around the watercolors making the whole area around wet. A pipette/dropper works so much better and faster. You just fill up the pipette from clean water jar and drop one or two drops on each color. If you need to mix watercolor on the palette and want to water it down, you can use the pipette to add some water to the mix as well. Pipette are also good for inks, liquid water colors, watercolor medium, and so much more.

Love your tin and really like the idea of making my own pallet. Just getting into water color and soaking up your thoughts surrounding these different products :)

Great idea: paint your interpretation of the painting "The Blue Period". That would be perfect for the blue hues and Paynes gray

They do look like good paints and the price seems very reasonable. Beware the Opera Rose is not very lightfast, sadly. 💗💗

I'm impressed with them so far! Yes, it's unfortunate about the Opera Rose, but it'll be fine for sketchbook work 🥰

LOL I find it funny how you use a HUGE area to paint swatches and a tiiiiiiny area to make an actual painting….LOL

Haha yea, the swatches of watercolour paper that I bought from Jackson's are quite small, but it's a good way to test paper before committing to buying larger sheets of it.
