I know this is an older video but from personal experience I’d add a bit of cord with a bulb on the end (something like you’ve used behind the back band) drilled into the latch it makes an exit considerably easier especially with cold hands so you don’t need to release the latch itself you just pull the ball on the end of the cord, just a suggestion that you may not have thought about.

Planning on going this year but I might not bring the play boat. I’ve gotten on the Franklin whitewater park wave a few times and that’s been really nice.

How do you like the backband system so far? I may try something similar

What's your paddle length and your height? thinking I need a shorter paddle compared to my 60in for oc1.
