That looks really good! (Never said that about any of that brands boats before) Super nice edge, great looking rocker, and glad to see some shorter options perhaps coming back, we have some really tight runs and 9ft+/- is just too much boat.
@WadeHarrison

Yeah to me that 9’ range seems pretty tapped out was good to see the Ninja 🥷 threw a interesting wrench in there but last 4-5 years seems 8’8”-10’ have been pretty stacked with some really awesome designs just paddling the Soul Hammer made me kinda miss these shorter creekers now it’s interesting seeing this drop at 8’5” which is pretty short by today’s standards for a creeker

@@WadeHarrison I'm not sure I want to go back to a topo🤣 but something 8ft or even 7 and change, with modern rocker and edge would be mint. Something for steeeeep low volume tech. 9ft definitely has a place, but I think the future of that is probably with a bit of pivot (not squirt) potential in the tail puffy/ninja/stoke styles. Interesting times, big boats going through the design mayhem playboats went through and starting to mature

@@gemmawatson6100 I absolutely love what they did on the ninja i would like to see something more on that
Hi Wade is there an on water review of the pyranha firecracker 252 coming? Saw the shape of the flow and thought it looks scorch like in the stern particularly then realised it’s much shorter. The spectrum of boats between full creeker and half slice is really expanding
@WadeHarrison

Yeah will post something on that soon
Will be interested to see your on the water review. I've seen some comments saying that the swede style hull design could make it more awkward to boof on edge?
@WadeHarrison
11 ай бұрын
Yeah, the Gnar has a tapered tail starting at the hips and this has a wider area behind the hips that tapers back.
@dangerjudy5334
11 ай бұрын
ninja is swede form too, it's got them birthing hips.
I am long boat Junkie, but this would be nice for those tight tech runs, looking forward to water review. Low kness, hmmmm

that sharp rail reminds me a lot of the ones they use on Pyranha kayaks. ;-)

This style of release rail was first used on the Wavesport X - 1999, David Knight and EJ crafted it .. and have been putting variations of it on Jackson boats since our very first one - the Fun. Pyranha's designer Robert Pearson started at Wavesport AFTER this was their brand's standard shape .. and he continued using it when he went to Pyranha. Now Dagger / Waka / LL .. the entire industry has copied this feature now - check Pyranha boats before Robert Pearson stepped in to see for yourself.

I haven't been a fan of really sharp chines in the past. They do get stuck easier on some of our rocky rivers. It was something to get used to lol. Dang, I want to surf that boat tho. Looks Sweet ❤
Looks like a antix but if the antix was a creek boat ! Nice looking boat though

Zero From knockout my pat he like a less edgy boat and more of a old school flowing style just look at the boats he has worked on delta V alpha braaap and technically the green boat
Do you think it has more Gnarvana or Antix 2 DNA in there?

Thanks Wade. Sounds like a nice combination of the traits into something new and improved. I wonder if they will drop the Zen 3 from the lineup after this.
@claywright9394

Stern shape is inspired in part by the sporty boofing and kick flips of the Antix 2 - it's been narrowed a good bit from the Gnarvana to lean-boof, Cobra-flip and kick flip better - if you just lay-back on the rear deck you'll see what I mean. It's not a half-slice.. but we wanted to have SOME of the fun .. just without the stern squirting.
Looks like a slightly modernized Mamba, Diesel, Burn kind of a boat.
@WadeHarrison

Yeah it’s in that category.

@claywright9394

It's like a Gnarvana hull shape aimed at the popular Zen 2 audience. We all loved that boat and paddled it a lot because it's just ... easier to carry, load, and feels sportier on the water than a ''full on'' creeker that has to do Stikine and Cali Overnighters.
Why wouldn't you call it a chine Wade? I agree I would call it a rail or edge near the tail there, but when it has that aggressive hook look I would always call that a chine. This way you'll have more ways to define the "edge"
