I usually turn the video off for podcast interviews (supposedly that improves audio quality) but a peak-pandemic Zoom call with Jackson Browne was too enticing. I listen to Jackson Browne everyday ❤
I meet Jackson Browne 42 years ago I was dating his bus driver I went with him on his tour for along time.He was sure a real person but when I first met him I was so close to him I was shaking I didn't know what to say I felt if I look at him I would die.I was a young girl from a small town and Southern I was like a fish out of world. He had his son with him I just kept talking to his son because I was really just freaked out I didn't know if I was even breathing it caught me not ready to do that it was in a front check-in at a hotal .I bet he must had know I was so scared are I was a crazy but I won't look in his eyes .He s so insightful I felt he ed see my soul just then.I didn't know why I was so scared he was beautiful in person and so nice .I just wanted him to know I wish I could had told him that day I really enjoy him as a singer and Thank You for been soon wonderful to me.

Do us all a favor woman. Don't post anymore comments, until you at least have SOME CLUE, as how to compose a sentence in English, along with proper spelling, grammer, sentence structure, and at least some collective thoughts , which you've at least given minimal thought to. Not being mean purposely, but you honestly write worse than a 5 year old, if in fact, that 5 year old had the ability to write.

So very sorry you felt like a " fish out of world. " That's absolutely horrendous. Hopefully, you can reintegrate back into your little world, honey.
What a humble ,decent ,down to earth guy ! It's so refreshing to hear someone who in every sense could boast about his achievements ,but refuses to ... Thankyou Mr Browne .
thanks for giving him his pauses of recollection. What you got from him through patience is really the good stuff.Well done.
I think you guys hit it off right from the beginning. To just listen to a conversation rather than an interview as such is far more interesting and open and honest. Yes Jackson is a great guy with a ton of humanity there but he obviously enjoyed something different with the way you both connected. Cool but very warm. 😊
Imagine Picasso, Vincent van Gogh , Shakespeare and Beethoven chumming around after high school wondering what their gonna do with their lives , what a time that was , amazing
I love this interview. Jackson is so candid. I just love him and his music!

Downhill from everywhere just another masterpiece added to his legacy . I think his life could be a movie with n amazing soundtrack. Fave lyric ever "When you've been near me I've felt the love stirring in my soul". - Jackson Browne (Your Bright Baby Blues)
When the radio station “The Mountain” launched in Seattle, the FIRST song was Rock Me On The Water! That song speaks VOLUMES!
It amazes me that the most brilliant artists, such as Jackson, are so humble and struggle to explain their ideas. It gives me hope that through my struggles to express myself, I can get the words right. I love these older folks and their wonderful example of conscience and love.
I love you, Jackson Browne! I am a lifelong fan, you're my fantasy husband. I love your new album. I love everything about you. You're simply the best! 4ever"mylove
Your lyrics have weathered the years & grown with my life in the strangest ways! Thanks, Jackson, you’ve been there for ALL of my awakenings!✌️❣️🌟
I saw Jackson in early December 1976 in Glasgow Ecosse , I have enjoyed his music ever since that Concert. Thank you Mr Browne for all you have given this World in the words in your Lyrics and of causes of concern to you and other unprejudiced beings.
This was such a cozy conversation. I'm really glad it was not a standard interview, this was much nicer. Thanks to both of you for doing this. Let's talk more this way.
He is truly the definition of a beautiful HUMAN BEING,, open, honest, passionate, caring, real and on and on and on.. too many other words. We have seen him 30+ times and we are amazed every time he performs!
Your Brillant Jackson! Awesome Interview 👌 👏 💜👩💜
I discovered jackson in 1975. I've seen him countless times in concert. Jackson, you are a truly beautiful soul and compassionate human being. Thank you for all you do for humanity.
Alway good to hear Jackson talk. He is so interesting and insightful.
If the oceans die, we die! Gotta defend Mother Earth!✌️❣️🌟
Glad to have come across this interview. Good stuff. Thanks. 😊
Awesome interview. !!!...gotta Love Jackson..saw him in the small venu in Sturgeon Bay Wi....I asked him to play " Too many Angles"..he said he didn't have that guitar....but he played it anyways...
An absolutely great interview.

Thanks so much! It's something I'll hold close for the rest of my life.
I grew up listening to Jackson Browne's albums. My sister had them all and then I had them all and was so blessed to see him and Joe Walsh in Santa Fe for a No Nks concert. I was 16, and my best friend had been killed the year before by a drunk driver and so I needed this concert. Thank you for this great interview!!

No way Doctor My Eyes was the gigantic conceptual masterpiece. Everything else falls into the shadow of that one song, which starts off as a riddle and ends with the answer in the last line of the song.
I have always been a Jackson Browne fan, and it was fun for me to learn that Jackson Browne's mother, Beatrice Koeppel, was my teacher. I was in the Creative Writing Club that she sponsored, and I often wonder if Jackson ever read MY words in our club's publication, The Paper Bag. John H. Francis Polytechnic High School, 1975-1977

Love that he acknowledges David Hidalgo. One of my favorite voices in the world.
This is one of the most enjoyable interviews with Jackson I’ve seen. And I’ve seen nearly everyone available. I’ve seen him 35 plus times in the uk, Ireland and once in Spain and love the band and the solo acoustic formats and I love the fact you got him for so long. He appeared to love talking with you.
Last time I saw Jackson in Portland Maine. He had missed coming for awhile.. I believe he was bailing out his Mom. Arrested at a no nukes rally. you go Man!! You and Neil Y ..my guys at heart👍since the 70s
58 mins of refreshment. Thank you both.
So nice to hear from Jackson these days
Such a big part of my younger years. Love that guy
The sooner we stand together in peace & love the sooner we’ll rise above✌️❣️🌟 LOVE IS ALL THAT MATTERS SHINE YOUR LIGHT!❗️🙌🏼
The worst thing you can do to a person who’s made mistakes is remind the of them😉✌️❣️🌟
That was a really cool/sweet talk with Jackson…enjoyed every second. What’s really ironic is I spent the day alone in my music room playing guitar along with many of his videos…I’ve been a fan of his music seems like forever…he’s a few years older than I… but not much so I could always kinda relate to his music. Anyway keep up the interviews, I appreciate how you let him speak without interrupting, great job. He comes off as a very likable cat…which is very cool “these days”. Peace & love…Cheers
This is a great interview. I subscribed! Oddly, I have seen many aspects of Jackson's lower floor but have never seen him in his upstairs kitchen. :) Also, really great to hear him speak of the quarter tones line, which I have also thought could be a stronger line. In fact, I have tried replacing that line but have never come up with anything worthwhile. Thanks for posting this... :)
Was fortunate to see you in Madison, WI. last month . Was supposed to have tickets for the Orpheum in Omaha but my husband hit the wrong button. It was worth the 450 mile trip to see you in WI.!

Jackson is one of the BEST songwriters EVER! He’s played a HUGE role on the soundtrack of my life. Love everything he’s ever collaborated on! Thanks for helping this activist stay in touch with what matters; LOVE❗️✌️❣️🌟
How don to earth and at the same time heavenly ! Thank You for this interview!
Thank you Jackson for explaining your process in this song - I’m a singer songwriter and I have studied your work since I was young - it’s time for me to do more digging in my writing - a nd you kn ow I am VERY interested in those FACTOIDS you mentioned. you're so right about the session guys that MAKE the song. I wish there were a way to go back and get them their due if the song gets somewhere....
Jackson, so delighted to listen to you. I so admire your talent. Along with just being so real! Your fans (myself) can relate to so many things you write and sing about! Thank you 😊 By the way your concert at Red Rocks last September! Outstanding 😎 My friend and I got stuck on Top. AFTER the concert. Security came to get us. Dropped us off at our car. Just when your tour busses were leaving. I waved and yelled Thank you JACKSON 😊 IT was a memoriable night 🌙 💜😎💜
Love this video! It’s so pure, simple and honest. With Jackson, sitting in his kitchen, making time for a true fan. I’m so happy for both of you ❤ One to re-watch multiple times.

Jackson Brown is amazing,
What a wonderful conversation. I am always ready for these moments
Oh I'm enjoying this so much!! 💐
Wow he is so amazing just an ordinary guy so humble and honest I love him
Thanks so much!!! This is the conversation I’d have liked to have with him the 3 times we met and I was too in awe too speak.❤ A real treat.
I admire Jacksons history of speaking up and being active 🐬about the planets health 🦋and humanitites🫶 collective well being, then he writes songs that stop me in my tracks🪷 and can have me hugging myself and wiping tears, like In the Shape of a Heart 💖 or dancing and singing out loud like Stay or Doctor my Eyes. Simply Wonder😇ful. Very enjoyable interview, thank you!

Thank u, it’s 3 in morning. I’m listening to one of my favorite artists. I pop out of bed and write 4 verses of a new song. Thank u!
Interesting. I am adopted and finding my genetic family was seminal to the development of my identity. A similar journey. JB should do more of these interviews. He was popular before we knew who the people were behind the songs on the radio. I had no idea.
Miss you jackson browne
Great interview! I love to see how accessible he is talking about his singing. His voice is as honest and beautiful as ever 'these days' and that smile ♥
I’ve listened to JB since I was 14, I’m 63 now. I listen to this interview and it’s really hard to keep track of what he’s talking about. Lolol. Every sentence he says is about something different.
Great discussion! I know he’s talking about so many serious topics, but I’m still my 16 year old teen-age mess from the 70’s when I see him. ❤❤😂
Awesome shows. I've enjoyed everyone of them. That I've attended. I took my dad to the Spokane arena to see him and Tom Petty, before Dad passed away, and it was awesome. Cant wait to see him again. My family is all about Jackson Browne so much my sister named her son Jackson after Jackson Browne and I call little Jackson Clyde lol my sister kept asking why I call him that. Well look up Jackson Brownes name. Perfect
There’s no one better. Always looking at ways to raise awareness. Why I named by little guy after this tremendous human being.

I still see the 30-ish Jackson Browne looking at us through those eyes. Sure, I had heard _Doctor My Eyes_ when it was getting a lot of airplay, but the first time I heard _The Pretender_ I knew I had heard one of the greatest *records* ever written. THAT piano, THAT voice, the sound of THAT band, *AND THOSE LYRICS* Wow! 🧨

@@AftertheDeluge Jackson Browne, Peter Gabriel, Steve Winwood, Paul Simon, Cat Stevens, Kenny Loggins, Neil Diamond, Graham Nash, Neil Young, Don Henley... have some the best lyrics! My wife and I feel so fortunate to have seen most of them live. Recently we surprisingly ended up with front row center seats to see Jackson Browne in Woodinville, WA 9/16/22. The evening was amazing!!! The first time I saw Jackson Browne live was during the Running on Empty tour on New Year's Eve in '77 at the Los Angeles Forum with my first girlfriend.

Great interview. I wonder, though, how can Jackson talk so frankly about his musicians, solos etc., and never once - unless I missed it - talk about David Lindley? I often thought that Brown and Lindley were like "a hand in a glove". Is there something I missed?

Lawyers in Love is just as strong of a message today as it was when he put it out in 1982, i think. Lawyers have all the attentions on the news.
Do it Jackson, buy some land, and do nothing with it except plant more trees. We tried that with our little hobby farm until we had to sell it, the woman who bought it ended up being some sort of land exploiter, cut down all the maples, and built a road over the wetland. That was 25 years ago and I am still hurt over that for many reasons, one of which is that she lied to us about her intentions. Knowing someone would just buy land for wildlife to use is a dream of mine. I wish more people would do it.

Some people in 1776 took matters into their own hands. The winners are worshipped and the losers are condemned. Subject matter and moral outcomes are irrelevant.
LOVE LOVE LOVE Jackson Browne but JEEPERS, the interviewer sure talks a lot!
LISTENING FROM LYNNWOOD! Hi NEIGHBOR 👋
Very interesting and thoughtful guy. Just saw him last week. The show is a combination of what he wants to say and what we wanted to hear. Unfortunately, though his activism is clearly sincere, the subjects he has chosen to write about over the past several decades are not in his wheelhouse. They sound forced and one-dimensional. His writing over his first 5-6 albums was introspective and universal. Songs from the heart (or the funny bone, like Redneck Friend) always beat songs from the head.
All of the bands I livestream do solos!
❤
Interesting story re what was the impetus for a song. My wife is from Hidalgo. Jackson has always related to liberal left issues. I remember no nukes etc. Nothing wrong w that view. Funny w my wife being from Hidalgo and living in the Mexican part of a town that's become 60% Spanish. Kids not knowing what parents home culture was not a big fear of loosing. I see it every day. Then there comes the pisa/ pocho thing. The border is a blessing and a curse for the crossers as it is for people here. The ideal of people looking for a better life has changed. The sad change in the dynamic is the cartels doing. Of course the appetite for drugs of United States gave/ gives the cartel it's prime source income. Lately they tax crossers. Many crossers arrive in the US owing the cartels thousands. I gather they just add a fee like Mafia charged fro protection. So when that person is here they are required to pay the bill that usually means working off the debt. Some examples might be meaning an illegal pot farm in the desert. Stealing water and keeping locals and police away by issued m16s. Another is being a mule. Cartel doesn't want to risk taking illegal stuff across. Mules get to take the risk for them. Then the most Insidious is forcing people into sex business. I hear about war on human trafficking and I see the porous border supplies the cartels w many bodies to manipulate. When I hear parents send their kids for better life I shudder about their naivete. Many come for a better life and expect they will work hard and life will get better. Some come to work an angle. The border has always been a risky place with people on the make on both sides. Now with the huge volume largely an effect of knowledge that border rules won't be really enforced. I'm all for the crossers searching for opportunity I'm sad that crossers HAVE BECOME an opportunity for the cartels to mess with. ....... the interview very cool. Loved how Jackson pointed out how do you pay someone for a great lead. Also his talk re many guitars. Em......dang that is a great tuning. Haunting feeling. Thanks.
A lot of our people came here respecting and obeying immigration law.

Aww, I’ve listened to Jackson for so long, it’s a bummer he has such contempt for the right wing. I’m a conservative, a “right-winger”, who believes the election was stolen, and I love his music.
this guy is too much different I cant count his brilliant songs....I remember Running in Empty & Late for the Sky LPs....even an Early Days ADAM SONG ,HE STANDS NEXT TO CSN DAN FOGELBERG JIM CROCE DON MCLEAN AMERICA AL STEWART THE MOODY BLUES THE EAGLES GARY BENSON AND MANY MORE
I would like to know why jackson and James taylor - who were on the same bill a yr or so ago Only played 2 songs we were familiar with - it was bazaar - as we walked out after the show everyone was quiet - I made the comment that I wanted my $$ back - then people started to comment - Everyone was a bit bewildered - no running on empty or sweet baby blues- only 2 hits - the rest were his new stuff - it was awful - both of them - tickets were expensive - People want to hear the iconic songs - not the mediocre songs about reflection and politics - I still want my money back
