When you watch a film again after not having watched it for years, it's like watching a new film because you're a different person and you're watching it with new eyes. Yes.. agreed. For me it was "Eyes Wide Shut". Initially I was OUTRAGED! Terrible. I even punched the wall leaving the theater! Then YEARS later I rented it from Blockbuster Video. Gobsmacked! Brilliant! Even TCruise was AOK (still not the correct lead for the movie at THAT time).

I think it was the accumulation of all his screwups: killing Melanie, not confirming they had the total amount, and finally not realizing something was up when he saw Max Cherry (this being the thing that pushed Ordell over the edge.)

Tarentino is at his best when he EITHER writes (True Romance) OR directs (Jackie Brown). When he does both there's no one to edit him and he is too self indulgent. This is definitely his best work as a director. It helps that the book it's based on is fantastic ("Rum Punch" - Elmore Leonard)!

1:38 is so funny. Ordell is in total disbelief. Loius really messed up cementing even more that he is just a burned out career criminal. Watching this scene really showcases the depth and acting ability of one Robert DeNiro.

The music actually really moves this scene forward. It’s such a subtle touch but it really works hanging around in the background.

Only Robert De Niro can look irish, italian and mexican at the same time.

Still, my favorite Tarantino movie, with Django a close second. This felt like the kind of movie that could plausibly happen in real life and to see Pam Grier rise like the gorgeous phoenix she was and is...my late father left this movie floatin'! That was his WOMAN and her and Robert Forster were just as good as DeNiro and Samuel L. Masterpiece. Never ever gets its just due in QT's filmography.

I remember seeing this in the theatre with a couple of friends. They didn’t like it so much. I was like “That was the best movie I’ve ever seen!!!”

Ordell was slowly being won over right up until the moment Louis catastrophically admitted seeing Max Cherry. No one told him to say that!!! 🤦🏾‍♂️

When Robbie put his head down to think, I knew he was contemplating a murder.

She put the money in to plant marked bills on their possession, so the police would assume they had ALL the money rather than Jackie Brown after the handoff. If there wasn’t any money planted, then the police would still be searching for the money she had. She also planted some on Melony during the hand-off too, for the same reason.

Brilliant.There are no honours between gangstas.All them main characters deserve Oscars.

This movie has always been one of my secret favorite movies. Super underrated

I love his ramble while trying to explain who he saw, knowing he's being completly honest about what happened.

Samuel and Robert (God I wish they did another together) was so funny here. The whole situation was not, but the conversation, the dialog(Quentin, yes sir) was just one of my favorites in this great movie. Great caper and casting. BTW, payback is a motherf(Goodfellas, remember?).

That pedestrian sauntering by at 1:19 witnessed history being made!

Ordeal was right, Louis used to be 'beautiful'. He was very sloppy not checking the bag, killing Melanie and then raising his voice to his ruthless "boss" who had the gun Louis used to commit murder moments earlier in Ordell's hand. Oooppss

The birds flew Away after the first shot. Nice touch.

I've always wanted my 6 year old son to see this movie but the cursing in Quinten Tarrantino films are always over the top. Now that I have stumbled upon this glorious edited version both dad and son were able to share this fabulous scene together! I thank you for your work and you made a father and son just a little bit closer as a result!

In this scene, I swear Robbie looks like Goro from Mortal Combat... kinda how Bruce Banner looks like The Hulk... he's Robbie until he gets angry, then he turns into Goro
