Not original at all. He totally ripped off The Amino Acids from Detroit. Not the song, but everything else. Masks, theremin, style... even the name of this song is similar to one of theirs. There's not a chance in hell that Jack White doesn't know who The Amino Acids are. I'm kinda bummed by this.

I'd never heard of Amino Acids before but checked out the song and yeah pretty close to the same except for no vocals. The whole video was very similar. Hopefully just a matter of Jack was influenced by them years ago and it showed up in what he's doing now but I don't know, kinda too close. Jack is one of the most creative musicians in a long while and doesn't need to do that but nobodies perfect.

@@SecretTransmissions Are you saying that because they use similar effects for the guitar, because they both use theramin, or am I missing something? Because they don't sound at all similar melodically or rhythmically to me. This is blues rock, not jazz. Edit: not even jazz, they're surf rock, sounds like Dick Dale. I know that riff they're playing from somewhere, can't place it at the moment though. Their video reminds me of TISM, I hope that's an homage, coz that band never gets the recognition they deserve. Upon review of the incident, it appears to have been business or women related, of which Jack has certainly come out on top. lol The mask-blue-splatter cubism deal is well explored Bauhaus/deKooning-Pollock/Mondrian/Hopper draw that was popular in the early 80s. It is fair play. It is not a crime to draw on styles.
