... This is just depressing...

i interpret this song as someone trying to process the death of their partner. the 'wah, wah, wah, wah' in the background reminds me of crying but i think it's supposed to sound like that. the line 'i don't wanna ride the bus alone' is exactly how it sounds, the singer doesn't want to ride the bus without their deceased partner. 'how can cupid, how could you be so cruel' is the partner going through the second stage of grief, which is anger. i'll update this when i get bigger-brained

@Im_Zcalenes As far as I'm aware that's not true, he didn't have a girlfriend who committed suicide, also the lyrics are "And a dollar for the bus ride home" and then the second time it's said it's "And you'll wanna ride the bus alone". To me it's more about the sadness of an ending relationship and wanting to love someone less
