Great Video My Friend, I'm 40yrs Old Living In New England (Maine) And I'm Starting My 3 Bay Compost Bins This Weekend, Its Rainy Today But Gonna Build The Frame with my Several FREE Pallets From My 2nd Job (Retail) and get started, looking forward to the results.. I probably won't do exact process u did.. 2yr process if I got that understood, but I plan to do a 1yr compost by JUNE '24 or Maybe May '24 to start using my Compost.. I Appreciate Your Knowledge and Time Of Effort oF Making This Decent Learning Video.. Thanks for the tips Jack! I've being growing my parents gardens for the last few years, and I'm starting some raised veg beds this year. But we've never done composting! I'm excited to try it out, and your video has been super helpful for understanding how it works

how do you keep the rats out of the one w the food scraps?

We live in Rural MN farm country where rats can also live. I can say we never have had a rat or mouse problem in 6 years if composting. We never put meat scraps or bones in with the compost. My guess is that the food scraps decompose so quickly that they are not attractive to rodents. Good luck with your composting efforts.
