I went to this park for the first time this weekend. For the age of this thing, I was absolutely shocked at how new and sharp-looking the trains were as well as the track and overall station itself. I know it was renovated back in 2007 but even so, they must do some serious and constant track work, re-painting, and maintenance activities on this on a very conservative basis because I've seen wood coasters less than half as old as this one and looked like it was already falling apart. So kudos to the renovating team back in 2007 and the rest of the team over the last 15 years to keep it extremely well maintained, smooth, and clean.

I've noticed that these classic family owned parks do a truly magnificent job maintaining their crown jewels. Canobie Lake Park in NH has maintained their Yankee Cannonball beautifully as well. Love how these old parks take so much pride in their history!

This classic is still so COOL! Thank YOU John Miller! He did a LOT for the coaster world! Thank YOU Seabreeze for keeping and maintaining such a historic piece.

It's in great condition.
I like how John Miller name roughly 70 percent of his coaster Jack Rabbit. This one even has mini double dip.

It was an 85 degree summer day for me.

It is.
According to Wiki this coaster had the fastest speed at 42 MPH when it opened but I think the 75' drop was record breaking in its day, although according to Coasterpedia they award that to Jackrabbit at Kennywood which has a 70' drop but a top speed of 45 MPH. Since they both opened in 1920; How can this be?

Parks were notorious for exaggerating wood coaster stats back in the day.

@@CanobieCoaster Costerpedia got the biggest drop stat in 1920 wrong then; this has a 75' drop and Jackrabbit at Kennywood has a 70' drop. In any case; both'd be beaten by Thunderbolt at Kennywood in 1924 with a 90' drop. That would be beaten by Wildcat at Rocky Springs Park with a 95' drop from it's opening in 1928 until it was demolished in 1965 when Thunderbolt would regain the title for biggest drop on a roller coaster. It wasn't beaten until Screamin' Eagle opened in 1976 at Six Flags St. Lewis with a 92' drop, and two years later the coaster wars would begin.
Airtime to be found?

No not really and I sat toward the back when I got a ride on it last weekend. If there's any it's toward the end during the tunnel.
