Each time Jack had an Ancient database downloaded in his head he would start building something that no one could figure out. I have always wondered if that was a nod to Macgyver.

What gets me is Teal'c reaction to Jack reading the language, he looks(for lack of a better word) worried for Jack, like he wants to just suddenly ask "Are you Ok? Im seriously worried about your inability to talk and emote" He has the same face in a later season where they get another repository and Jack is modifying the Rings, when he asks "Can you even understand me....O'neill I...." To which jack just rests a hand on him, touches his face the way Bratac would then resumes working. Its that level of acting and detail that made these characters amazing

Technically speaking that's a retcon. The ancient gene was invented for Stsrgate Atlantis about five seasons after the Ancient Repository first appeared. The original explanation was that the machine was made specifically to repel Goa'uld. However since that was supposition on Carter's part and the Ancients weren't too well fleshed out before Atlantis it was a fairly easy retcon to do without any blatant contradictions.

Its almost funny how good I'd be at a Jaffa-Rebel, cause I'm not stupid. There's literally worlds like Cimeria, that kil Guaold and Jaffa and/or even Free the Hosts; and we know that A) Jaffa are totally used to activate the Stargates for their Masters, and B) Rebelion before Tealc's Betrayal was super-rare and therefore unexpected. Do i have to spell this incredible Plot Hole out?! YES, you can just be the One that Dials the Gate for a System Lord and then make them go totally unknowingly into their Demise! No kidding, gimme 10 Jaffa and i kill at least 5, if not up to 10 System Lords! No kidding! This is a giant Plot Hole (though i dont wanna blame them for not thinking this intensely about it all, but STILL:) Jaffa could literally assasinate the oh-so-feared Overlord-Bosses incredibly Easy. No kidding, you dont even have to sacrifice yourself - though i admit, you may not be able to control of some other Jaffa and/or Human-Servants die! But still! The Victory would be amazing and only multiply if coordinated with other Jaffa on other worlds!! I never saw any comment like mine here, so yeah; be in Awe, as this idea is an Original, it seems. No kidding! This is a giant Plot Hole (though i dont wanna blame them for not thinking this intensely about it all, but STILL:) Jaffa could literally assasinate the oh-so-feared Overlord-Bosses incredibly Easy. ...No kidding, you dont even have to sacrifice yourself - though i admit, you may not be able to control of some other Jaffa and/or Human-Servants die! But still! The Victory would be amazing and only multiply if coordinated with other Jaffa on other worlds!

Your thread has just made me get it after all these years. The 2 women we know that Jack idolizes, Mary Steenburgen and Uma Thurman, are both women that Carter would not be jealous of. She also thinks they are hot, each in a unique way, and out of respect would allow her boyfriend to drool over them. Most other hot celebs would not qualify. It also doesn't hurt that Carter may be hotter than either.

Every time Jack had the database in him, his mind was working on two or three levels. 1: The ancient knowledge trying to get him what or where he needed to go to accomplish the task (i.e building primitive zpm). 2: To communicate someway with his current self what had to be taken/started/created for the next step (i/e/ non-Abydos gate addresses). 3: To communicate at a level with others what his goal or part of it is (i.e. Crossword puzzle interaction with daniel; sh; at). This really shines when he creates the anti-replicator weapon and it's designed for non-ascended beings to use, but easily understood how to use by somehow who doesn't have the slightest clue how to use it or what it's for. Essentially, Ancient O'Neill had to think of how to build and plan ahead for people who were never going to be smart enough to converse with him.

Sheppard defied elizabeth’s orders during the nano virus, idk about teyla maybe her loyalty to her people, rodney blowing up 3/4s of a solar system, ronon murdering a traitor and his hate for the wraith. Even beckett and keller unlocking their strength and courage. Plus they are all hilarious.

When Mallozzi and Mullie pushed the Jack/Carter crap it ruined the series. You could tell RDA no longer enjoyed the series because they rarely let him work opposite Michael (who he had the most fun with - him and Chris), because M&M DESPISED that so many of the fans were slashers that shipped Jack and Daniel. The did the same thing on SGA with John and Rodney as well, pushing Rodney and Keller and not letting David and Joe be in as many scenes together as they were in the beginning. They were homophobic jackholes that burned the shows to the ground rather than ignored their own prejudices and let fans see what they wanted to see.
