He will play next month in Shanghai Masters.

Ronnie doesn't play in any tournament where he'd have to win a non-televised qualifier (= any ranking event outside the UK). He thinks that there are too many tournaments in a snooker season, so he skips most of them. (But he plays in the Shanghai Masters, since it is an invitational, big-money event.)
