He was the best actor ever to me. I'll meet him and hug him in heaven. Love him so much.
You have a fine voice and quality of speech; you present with intellect; and you let the stories speak for themselves, no wild antics as some web hosts display. Congratulations! 👏👏👏👏
i love him in the days of wine and roses especially with that song
Thank you for your insightful review of this great actor! Billy Wilder called Jack Lemmon the best actor he'd ever directed -- no ego, always on point with lines/positioning, able to capture a character instantly upon being given the slightest direction. And what range! One of my favorites, too....
I think he was fantastic in The Out of Towners. A great movie!
Never knew Lemmon was in so many dramas! Always loved him in his comedies, gotta check out the dramas now 🎭
Days of Wine and Roses is my personal favorite. The ending in particular rips my heart out. He and Remick are so outstanding. Glengarry Glen Ross is definitely in my top 3, though
what a beautiful collection; you seem tobe very much aware of jack lemmon, he was really an outstanding actor I never felt he is acting. very nice description in a beautiful voice.
My fav Jack Lemon is Some Like it Hot

They just don’t make good ones like “Some Like it Hot,” any more.
LOVE Jack Lemmon!!
I just happen to run into this interesting program, wich is one of my passions, classic movies and my favorite actor of all times, Jack Lemmon. For me and my mother was the very best as a comediant or dramas movies. I thought that I had seen mostró of Jack Lemmon movies but thanks

Thank You So Much for Watching, Veronica!! That's So Great! Ever since I was a kid, I was so inspired by him and continue to be to this day. If you have any requests, please feel free to let me know! :)
What about the Great Race?! He had a duel role for two vastly different characters! Plus that laugh!

Haha it is very underrated!
Days of wine and roses perfection
Your program is amazing!! This was my 2nd program watched and I am hooked. The first one was your review of Bette Davis, my Supreme #1. We definitely agree on almost all of your selections with just a few exceptions of placements. Keep up the superior work. Also your voice and conversational delivery are a huge plus for this format. Good tidings my friend of film!

Oh Thank You So Much!!! I just love being inspired by all these artists and truly, inspired by people like you who supports them! There will be Many, Many more to come!
I love Lemmon’s performance in Billy Wilder’s « Avanti »…
One movie you didn't mention, was Professor Fate/ The prince of Potsdorf in The Grate Race. My personal favorite.

You forgot Irma La Douce.

Can't lend any credence to such a list that doesn't contain The Great Race.

LOL! Totally Understand, that's why this was SO TOUGH, I tell ya.
Thanks for the video. I actually agree with your number 1, this movie is incredible and Lemmon definitely stole the show. Days of Wine and Roses is not his best though in my opinion, he just doesn’t care that much for the part in that moment, was still great in comedies. The Great Race - he made that movie good, for example

Thank you for the support!! Oh yes, "Days of Wine & Roses," was hard for him - he had to shoot that scene in the Greenhouse over and over starting all the way from the beginning, back to 1, plus reshoots when it was in post. He was such an amazing professional. "The Great Race," was so fun too. There are just too many!! haha
I loved the China Syndrome. What a great movie
Remembering Jack Lemmon born on February 8, 1925. He was an American actor. Equally proficient in both dramatic and comic roles. He starred in over sixty films and was nominated for an Academy Award eight times, winning twice. - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Lemmon
Can't argue with any of your selections, although Tribute and Save the Tiger wouldn't make my top 10. Instead, I would include Twelve Angry Men in my top ten (in your honorable mentions); and I have a particular warm spot for this wonderful villain in The Great Race. We are definitely on the same wavelength in recognizing his performance in Gelngary Glen Ross as the pinnacle of his career. I cannot believe he was not even Oscar-nominated (let alone receiving his third Oscar). It's simply breathtaking. MY number 2 would bet Some Like It Hot, possibly the greatest comedy performance ever (in my humble opinion). Of course, as you mention early on, you could easily do a top-20 for Jack Lemmon. FYI: Matthau's Oscar was for The Fortune Cookie, not The Odd Couple.
Had a difficult time with this list. No mention at all for "The Great Race!" One of my first ever watched classic movies and still one of my favorite Jack Lemmon performances!
