He probably went and joined them in heaven after Sam died. Till then he probably remained with Kelly. Being in heaven with dead people won't interfere in the story since their story will be over by then and they'll be in their final resting place, so it's okay. They could be a complete family in heaven.

@@_lilly347 Yes, but Cas was his og dad who was fully prepared to change ten boxes worth of diapers by himself. Sam rose to the occasion, and so did Dean, but if we're rating them by overall good dad-ness, Cas is first because was Jack's father before he was even born, he died for Jack, and never once actually tried to kill him, Sam comes second because he was the one to be there for Jack after Cas died- unlike Mr. Evil Stepmother, who comes in third for his delayed acceptance, the multiple times he tried to kill the literal INFANT, and parental support that was spotty AT best. They may all be his dads, but CAS is the one, who despite his very valid daddy issues, was his BEST dad.
