totally different styles for the drake and cole verse im a huge fan of both but the smoothness and zero effort flow on johnny ps caddy along with the such clear story telling has the edge for me this drake verse on the other hand is full of punchlines and bars that make you rewind and say oh shit he just said this and that he also spazzed on a beat that most rappers cant even come up with a flow to both great verses but id personally stick to the cole verse

Drake songs sound like Drake songs this sounds dumb but artists that write their own songs have a certain writing style and Drake has one like Ernest explained. There are like videos from like 06 and 07 where Drake freestyles on the streets. Also Drake ghostwrites for other people and sometimes he is even credited as the writer so how are people gonna explain that lol Drake literally credited Miller so how does this argument make sense in the first place and he was only helping with the hook and not with the writing of it the delivery. Drake is the only one that’s battle tested out of the three. We don’t know how Cole and Kendrick move and operate under pressure. How would beef affect their roll-outs; what do their shows look like during beef; how do they manoeuvre certain situations when there is always this elephant in the room that everyone knows about; what would they do if their opponent just dropped a bomb on them while they were working on an album - speaking of bombs: all three of them were “hiding” kids from the world at some point 😂 I just feel like Drake knows how to move during “war” in comparison to the other two. And also, Cole already bowed out and basically accepted that he is third. The real head-to-head we need to see is Kendrick and Drake. They need to stop subbing each other and give us the opportunity to decide who is actually the goat. Just based on what we have seen, I think Drake would surprise many.

I like both Jack and Drake, but even though Drake did have a stronger verse it still bothers me how people discredit Jack only to give props to Drake. It’s definitely a Drake type beat with his flows and I’m sure people would be just as critical if Jack came in with Drake bars and “copied” his style, probably wouldn’t feel genuine either. Jack’s got his own style and way of writing that really doesn’t have to be compared to other artists like Drake, Lil Wayne, Eminem, etc. I for one really like Jack’s way of writing, even if it’s more silly and not as deep or lyrical as other rappers. Just my opinion though 🙂

Jacks lyrics and they way he speaks to women is VERY reminiscent of drake. Jack himself would probably say that drakes lyrics heavily influenced his style. And it’s not that I don’t give jack credit because I do. He has a nice pen. But this song undeniably belongs to drake.

I wasn’t actually commenting on anything you said in particular, but just the overall response this track has gotten from the hip-hop community, especially reading the comments you were receiving in the chat during the stream. Jack dropped a great album in my opinion and very much in his own style, but I’ve seen way too many comments from people saying things like Drake carried the whole album with his verse. I think it clearly shows how much respect Jack has towards Drake to have him feature on his own album, on a very Drake type beat, and to give him the majority of the song to say what he wants to say, probably knowing full well that he would be compared and debated over who had the stronger verse.
