Over the past couple of years, few musicians have made the type of impact that Jack Harlow has. This Kentucky native, known for his inoffensive style and easygoing bars, landed a spot on the Billboard Hot 100 while being little more than internet famous at the time. Over the past couple of years, there have been plenty of young people who’ve accomplished their 15-minutes of fame thanks to social media only to then fall off the charts, but that’s most definitely not the case with Jack. His raw talent and ever-increasing acclaim would lead to a record deal with Atlantic Records and the subsequent release of projects like “That’s What They All Say” as well as his most recent album, “Come Home the Kids Miss You.” And sure, acceptance might seem like it comes easy to Jack, but in point of fact, he had to overcome a lot of bullying thanks to an eye condition he suffered from as a kid. Know how this led to Jack expressing himself musically for one of the first times in his life? Then fill the rest of us in down below. Everyone else, stay tuned to find out that and a whole bunch more in the newest episode of Before They Were Famous.

I like how he went to his parents about his rap dreams and instead of telling him get a real job or go to college son, they were all for it but made him realize you're gonna have to put that work in !

I remember listening to him when he first dropped sundown I knew he was gonna be somebody great!!!
Jack didn't care who thought his raps were 'wack' or let how he looked effect him. He stayed proud of all he did and continues to create. He's a strong ass dude for all he went through growing up, im serious

Huh. So he didn’t come almost out of nowhere. He put the time AND was laser-focused on getting better and it worked. Gotta give him props for that.
Gonna say it again Jack is an Underrated genius 💯🔥
No, it all makes sense. His parents fund his early ep and mixtape. I ain't mad at it.
Give JACK his JACKET... his album was amazing. 🔥🔥🔥 Definitely a GOAT in the making.

Kentucky ,Louisville JACK♡ Love You 💚💨💨
Thank you!!!!! Love from aus
On another note: I grew up enjoying Weird Al Yankolvick, and just finished seeing yet more confirmation of the fact that there is an effortless reward system just for being yt and male, on the other end of my research about the 15 highest paid DJ’s in the world (ALL yt and male and almost all not even American); because of things like this, and the fact that it would take very little to make him a “heartthrob”, I knew he would pop relatively quickly.

Rap might be the only genre where artists are obsessed with “being the best”. I find it petty.
I came here after hearing how unimpressive Jack Harlow is thinking “this dude had to have been born rich” and sure enough, I was right. American caste system

don't seem like he dealt with much adversity... seems like he had a pretty easy going life with a lot of support around him and not many roadblocks... I respect his grind, but his origin story is weak...
