Not gonna argue about Jack getting nerfed, but I must mention that having him puke out his steroids was very out of the blue. Sure it was a reference, but it originally happened under circunstances that made it very significant, hence why it never happened again. Here they showed it in a way that makes it look like it's something Jack does as a regular power-up, which is just wrong

This isn't a real fight. This is just an Easter Egg match. -Jack vomiting and using max mode on Raian similar to Baki making him puke before. -Pickkle barging in like he did during father and son fight(this is a foreshadowing of it) -Jack's face before puking is a reference to Sikorsky's face when he got low blowed a lot -Baki telling Jack to stop is a reference to the Hospital scene where he said the same to Jack, except this time Jack listens -Everyone inside of the ring is a reference to everyone ready to take on Yujiro during the maximum tournament when he barged in at random.

So Raian powers up with Removal and Jack powers down with Puke. I’m more of a Kengan fan than Baki but even I thought that was horseshit😂 Thing is too I could see Raian and Jack actually being buddies and great sparring partners over Ohma. These two would absolutely have a great time on a slaughter fest against their enemies.

The callbacks in this fight were crazy, Jack puking out his steroids and Raian trying putting his hands in Jack’s mouth to tear him in half were so cathartic

Definitely nerfs on both sides. If this was post pickle baki fighting kengan tournament ohma, baki would have won. Mostly cause Ohma wasn't using nico style like he does later on in the franchise. Also note how long he uses that "possessed by a god" state or however it's called. Definitely something that ties more into the first series and not omega. Basically, ashura scaled Ohma would have lost most likely. Both sides had their own nerfs and such, and in the end it's simply made for entertainment anyways. I'm an avid fan of both series, so sue me for stating my opinion XD

Idk why he cut it out but at 1:03 Jack swallows the rest of his drugs and thats why his veins were showing. Thats also the reason why he didnt talk much. At that moment I really felt bad for Jack for ruining his body this way

Guys, Remember that this fight take Place after pickle's ark and before the fight between father and son That mean that jack was already weakened from the fight against pickle and was still ab impulsive fighter, far away from the calculator beast he become from tge the sumo arc Jack uses his "slim form" (i don't Remember the name) that made him stronger but smaller than before, also in tha final act jack lost because instead of trying to free himself from Raian choke , he kept moving forward for the final bite (that is in line with the character in this part of the story) Also jack was Declared defeated, but he could have keep fighting

Ohma and Raian are both luckly that Pickle is actually calm and very reasonable for a primitive/prehistoric man

Why do people believe this Jack is strong ?, current manga Jack i truly believe is quite strong but if you believe that this Jack is strong enought to defeat Raian, then you probably won´t like what Motobe will do to Jack in the next season. I love Baki way more than Kengan Ashura but in reality i have to say that Raian is stronger than Jack, if we are talking about Baki Rahen Jack and Kengan Omega Raian i probably have to give the victory to Jack but sadly this Jack has just recover from his fight with Pickle there´s no way he wins againts a Raian that is even stronger tha Ohma

Raian stopped a superman syndrome 100% release rates double arm swing attack with just his fingers without using his own release. Yeah he can keep up with Jack. He no diffed that guy

God damn this was my favorite fight out of all of them. No talking all hands. All this buff and nerf talk is stupid.

I am huge baki fan, this crossover was better than i expected

It seems that the Baki characters take place after the Pickle Arc, and the Kengan characters are still in Ashura. No bias or anythting but I would’ve had this a clean sweep if not for the fan enjoyment. Hanayama beating Saw Paing was a really good fight, which I do think Hanayama and his death grip would’ve won. Jack recovering after fighting Pickle, would’ve won due to multiple bite wounds leading to Raian and his defeat. Baki displayed all his techniques or a majority of them, but they weren’t properly effective as that were shown and meant to be. Baki had gone toe to toe with Yujiro, who is the top dog and he put up a good fight, so him being surprised by Ohma and his pressure was a bit weird if not for the fan base. Ohma would directly lose in this instance even when he went into Advance, Baki brought out his demon back which also enhanced himself and he would’ve came out on top if it had continued. The sole reason why they even stopped fighting was because Ohma wasn’t in advance mode anymore, or that’s atleast what it looked like to me. ANYWAYS, it was a good short film from both verses.

I think this not only takes place after Pickle but immediatly before the Father vs Yujiro arc so Baki hasnt yet faced Yujiro, you can see that Pickle still has his tooth intact. So yeah Baki here is not at his peak, also I would have really liked the reaction of Kengan fighters to the Triceratops fist

They are not taken from anywhere. Crossovers work in a "anything is canon" type of scenarios generally, hence why Raian tried to used a Kengan Omega move mid fight.

Jack has his face scar from when pickle bit half his jaw off, and Pickle himself makes an appearance. And Katsumi is missing his arm from when it got torn off from Pickle, which leads to my original statement that probably happened after the pickle and father-son arc.

Is less about deciding who wins through math and more about character interactions and fanservice, hence why Jack lost since his role in Baki is to be a jobber while Raian's role is that of a powerful rival so the interactions are decided on that.

Honestly, considering his developement in Baki Rahen, this match with Raian fits right in with building a base of humility similar to his fights with pickle, that caused a massive jump in his power. This movie is in all accords a treat for both fanbases.

Kengan ashura fighters forgot that there anime has monologues and they rant on during fights but baking fighters have INTERNAL monologues and the narrator just describes a punch like a Apache helicopter

I'm a Baki fan but some of y'all complaining about Baki being nerfed is cringe lol. The fights are supposed to be entertaining and respect fans of both franchises, not a fanservice where your favorite characters stomps the other.

But that's exactly what happened in the fight, raian seemed overpowering and jack like his toy. Jack may not be the strongest but he's not that weak either

As soon as I see kids arguing about such stuff, I know how stupid they are. Of course they had to respect both franchises and any other way of handling it would've been shit. Personally I cared for the entertainment behind the fights, not who's stronger. Wish it had more of them tho, my only "complaint".

Jack being choked out is not entertaining. Some how Baki rear naked choked Jack didnt bother him but Rian just lift him up by the throat is so humiliating to Jack as a character man.

There was more action in this fight than most of the episodes in the raitai saga.

Well this failed miserably, the fight animation scene itself sucks compared to both animes. They nerfed Jack both in his abilities and size. If Raian got punched like that by Jack it would kill him, Jack weakest feats are from literally raping giant killer bears to this. But i already knew this would happen the first time i saw the announcement this "junction" would pop out, they should never had done this crap.

People that speak about kengan didnt know about shen wulong? Except for maybe yujiro he cook all baki xD. And for kuroki the same.

Shen can beat most Baki characters, but Musashi, Baki, Yujiro and Isekai Retsu a bit too much for him

A ridiculous saga, the Baki anime has no comparison with the basic Kengan fantasy. They should never have crossed them, it's just lowering the level of the Baki series.

Good animation, but bad comparison. Regarding speed: Kure is comparable to ohma who could block bullets, but jack for his part could fight against a baki who could use the mach punch that breaks the sound barrier, he is also compared to pickle who is at the level of a base yujiro, who could dodge lightning. In strength: Kure can fight with Ohma who can break portions of rocks, and is a little weaker than Wakatsuki, who can make mountains shake. Jack being comparable to pickle, would be as strong as a base yujiro which is superior to any military weaponry that includes nuclear bombs.

In cases like this I will always go the words of Stan Lee "It wins whoever the writer decides to win"

Sometimes power scalers just need to sit back and shut tf up. You really think the animators and the authors care about your none-stop whining? They are just being respectful to each other. Yes, Raian winning is BS but it wasn't a knock out, Jack could still stand up and fight but they had to stop him. And yes, Baki characters are nerfed but the entire movie would have been boring.

They literally made the gods movie of dbz non canon out of people pointing out the inconsistencis, so yes authors care. If these autors respect each other they should have made a genuine fight instead of whatever this is.

People are surprised Yujiro's oldest son that even he won't really acknowledge lost? Jack has had to resort towards enhancements while Raian did not and is insanely op in his verse.

@@emirdecatar i actually didn't know this, sucks it's not current arc baki but I'm sure it wouldn't be much of a fair fight in that case since admittedly let's both acknowledge that Yujiro, heck even biscuit could probably solo the entire kengan verse

Jack may not have the Demon back but he mastered the Demon Vomit which is his true power up

Im not even trolling. Legit question? If this is a crossover an 2 totally different universes how are fans saying one just outright clears the other? Sounds more like bias to me and I like both anime.

Eh people are just upset their fav didn't win. Baki usually has more absurdity to it than Kengan however is normal that in these type of Crossovers everyone is kind of even.

It's actually super obvious that Baki characters were nerfed and Kengan characters were leveled up. I enjoy both series, manga and anime, but this fight was a joke. The writers knew they had to level out the wins and losses to appease both sides, but the anime writers of Kengan were the folks who wrote this movie. Unfortunately the pacing suffered just like the animated series did. So it's no wonder that they'd play it that way. When part 2 comes out, I'm sure they'll have probably have Jack return for revenge of some sorts. Jack during this time was already pretty weak due to him having just fought Pickle. So no figure they'd set the time here. They needed a reason. Not really bias, it's just analyzing since both series are in the same genre.

Well in Baki even mid or upper mid level characters have ridiculous feats like making the statue of liberty almost collapse by punching it a few times, carving a huge tunnel in rock with their bare hands, punching so fast it creates a sonic boom. Not even high level Kengan characters are depicted with such absurd feats and honestly I prefer it that way. Baki characters were clearly nerfed in this crossover. Especially since the Kengan characters are from the beginning of their plot meanwhile the Baki anime had much more episodes and much more time has passed as well. Hanayama in this movie was having an even fight against Saw Paing meanwhile in his own anime he brutally overpowered the statue punching guy even though he was weaker at that point.

Kengan characters have ridiculous feats as well but there's a huge bias, delusion and unrealistic expectations from baki fans. Daring to see kengan characters like frauds or pure cap when they're literally characters with unrealistic strength and feats as well.

Raian didn't even use his Kure clan techniques 😭
