@Alatar the Blue i didnt like much DMC 2 Dante but i have to say, he was gloriously pissed and done with the demons. The most notable part is with Trismagia. Hes only dialogue is "dont talk just die". I kinda miss his more brutal side. Even in the artwork he gave a very murderous aura that is impressive to look now 5 game into the series.

If that happen, many cutscene (especially boss cutscene) will be skipped by Jack himself. Monologue about Light, Darkness, Heart, etc be damned and Jack would shit on them gleefully. Edit: Also, KH4 would become the shortest KH game ever made if Jack included in the series.

You will know more about Jack with the dlcs. His writing is intended for a reason. Keep in mind that FFO is a combination of two different FF games (1&2). This game set in the same timeline and universe so the story might explain it later on.

And hell even understanding the story and shit is hard because of it. so yea i skip the fucking story because it really isnt even as good as people make it out to be. its pretty mid. By the time i got to endwalker i didnt really give a shit about any of the characters. Even if i did listen to the story which i did for shadow bringers and endwalker and i still didnt care. it just felt like i was reading a mediocre book and doing chores. that's basically what the MSQ of FF14 is. dont go into that game expecting gameplay because theres almost none. like there's story driven and then there's ONLY story. Even story driven games arent this bad with there pacing and shit. I don't really get why people take the story so seriously and fucking circle jerk everyone who watches every single cut scene and listens to every single dialogue pop-up. It makes me want to skip the story just to piss these people off. so yea its extremely refreshing that this game has a protagonist that basically skips dialogue for me. And the story isnt that long winded anyways or complicated.

None of this was even supposed to be in the game, Jack just suddenly started going off code and did whatever he wanted during playtesting, Team Ninja realized they couldnt stop him and had Nomura rewrite the rest of the game and the pre rendered cutscenes to fit Jacks based self

I laugh too hard with that But jokes aside, SoP did an amazing work with the random FF1 lore They turned FF1 from generic "save the princess and world from the guy who went mad with no reason" to the story about the guy who sacrified himself to get access to the true ending(after the WoL defeat chaos/garland in the past, he goes back normal with the princess)

The ending of the original is either a time loop where you go back to the start and Garland is there kidnapping the princess or he was corrupted by chaos and at the end everything is back to normal at the start with Garland being a good guy.

I consider Jack to be the most relatable (and hilarious) videogame protagonist of all, i share his hate for expositiory dialogues and just want to skip straight into the action. This game is funny as hell, we need more games like this, this was funnier than FFV.

When you actively avoid all side quests in a game and skip all the non important dialogue
