for someone who claims to be so knowledgeable he shoulda done his research and found out that Jack doesnt smoke often, and got some lighter bud. AK x Hashplant is a seasoned veteran type strain, its hard as F*** to grow and not a beginner type smoke, shoulda got some JillyBean or maybe even some Platinum Kush, any type of kush really . Potent "rag" strains (regular/not kush) are heavy hitters, very psychedelic and will likely cause anxiety for non smokers

I'd never trip shrooms around somebody like Doug, it'd be 8 hours of pure hell after he creeped me out into straight wiggin. He needs to have shots of emergency liquor at the ready to help his guests balance out their high if needed.

@@WeirdSmellyMan oh I’m not saying it’s unheard of to freak out sometimes I just think Doug thought jack was a stoner because of movies but he’s just acting then immediately hits jack black with a dab pen so within minutes jack is gone and only hitting pipes after doug has hit already them and being very somber and saying goodbye early and turning around. I love jack but he didn’t hang in there 😂 my heart goes out to him but he was lost internally after the weed for some reason. This isn’t a good environment to get high in though so I don’t judge him lol every time I take a tolerance break my first few times give me some rainbow road panics but you can embrace them.

David I saw a study that proved that smoking doesn't cause is loss, we naturally lose iq points as we age, but if youre parinoid then learn an instrument. learning an instrument can raises your iq by 10 points

Both Jack Black and Eric Andre explain perfectly how I feel about smoking weed. I prefer doing it alone and would rather just relax, watch some tv or play some video games. When I used to go to parties or out with friends I would've needed a lot of alcohol or something else to not be incredibly anxious and afraid to talk to people especially considering I'm already socially awkward. Odd thing is that when I first started smoking it would help me socialize but then eventually it made it harder. As I got older and life slowly happened to me the high made me worry about everything.

I just watched the ones with Jeff Ross and Anthony Jeselnik. I preferred those. This show is MUCH better when Doug doesn't have control. Here, he didn't steer the ship out of rough waters. This was dark and I felt bad for Jables.

Totally agree with the best episodes. Top 3. I felt like i was in the room. Jack is so awesome and i love the fact that he was going to see The Pixies after. It could have been more fun if Doug like let the conversation just flow instead of trying to hit the usual beats like Pot Topic. Because the show was unusual and wonderful.

He seemed very uncomfortable from the start. Not the best way to feel when ur about to get high

ImHeadshotSniper That's not true at all. Sociopaths simply don't have a "conscience", and typically have very antisocial habits. So, yes, if being violent is beneficial to them they will do it, but they don't "want" to per say. Killing someone is almost never beneficial, especially considering all the none-moral consequences involved.

I have felt this way so many times, seriously, things feel like a fucking nightmare, and I read so much into people's responses and think they're annoyed or mad. Good for Jack, he stuck it out, there's so much shame in this society from reacting badly when smoking weed. This is a real problem, and it's out of the control of certain people, and it's okay to not be a weed person.

That's how my uncle was. Smoked weed since he 12, now since he had an anxiety attack while he was driving after he smoked he doesn't smoke anymore. I can see that some people have the problem, but others don't.

He was probably giving Jack a second chance. You be the host in this situation. Hes trying to lighten the situation up with bad humor. I have gone through what Jack was. Its a panic/anxiety attack. He probably felt it 10 seconds after smoking. I have gone home from an extended family gathering for being "too high" and my biddy had to drive me home its an even worse feeling going home from freaking out. Once I got in the truck I immediately mellowed out and wished I had stayed. Doug probably never encountered this (i say it because he says "this is a first")

Doug’s fuck up was telling him he had to work tomorrow. Jack may have talked about the show too much to his obligation for non-disclosure or something. He may have panicked because of that. Because that’s when he said Cantaloupe.

For like two years when i started smoking, i only really smoked because my homies were all huge pot heads and every time we would smoke, i would get absolutely wrecked and have a terrible time throughout the whole thing. Then, a bit over a year ago, I began smoking much more and now I never, ever feel "too high." The key to really getting rid of anxiety while high is just let the weed kind of take over. You have to sort of have faith that the weed is going to treat you right.

+Sammy Gordon im the exact opposite, in the beggining i could smoke potentially like a million bowls and would reach a threshhold where i couldnt get any higher, could smoke an eighth to myself in 20 minutes, could take insane amounts of edibles, not only that but i could take ANY drug at high doses and be kosher, im talking 10 grams of shrooms alone in a cornfield, or combining fucking dextromethorphan with synthetic cannibinoids, I always used to be so proud of the fact i could take any drug at any amount and keep my shit completely, well after years of this it took its tool, i experimented wit harder drugs, and ever since i CANT fucking smoke weed for my LIFE ! i wait months and even after being sober i can only take like 2 hits and even then it feels like my chest is collapsing, something happened along the way that made it so i litterally cant smoke weed anymore and its so sad cuz it was my favorite thing in the word

Yo Doug please read! some cool constructive criticism for your show, instead of having high up upright leather computer chairs which can make some people feel really horrible when smoking (I get this a lot and so do my friends) we call them whitey chairs because they make you turn white and have a bad trip because of the angling of them and skinny arm rests. I'd suggest some really big comfy sofas in an L shape with the camera facing into them both with a nice low table and some chilled out props like small trees ever side of the sofas, just something which would make you feel at home and relaxed. I can't imagine anything worse than sitting up right in a leather computer chair trying to relax and get really stoned which is what you want your guests to do and it's why most of your audience watches, but some of them I can see by their body language how they're reacting badly to the situation and it adds a negative ambience to the show. So all in all, a chiller set would be cool, I want to watch this and imagine it's me and my buddies relaxing having a chilled conversation rather than something which can be sometimes awkward to watch since I know the pain that person is going through. Hope you read this man, I love your show and I think this would benefit it incredibly. Peace from England!

I used to smoke all day every day then I quit for a while. When I started again I got the most soul crushing anxiety EVERY TIME I smoked. I totally understand what Jack is going through. Weed just isn't for everybody.

Same. I smoked for a long time then started dabbing everyday for 4-5 years. Started to shake uncontrollably one night and ever since then whenever I would go light up my heart would beat out my chest, I as afraid about having a heart attack, all around worried about everything. I still don't understand why this happened but I'm over a year completely sober from it. Sometimes wanna try taking just one hit from a joint to see what happens but idk.

if you dont smoke often, dont smoke the high grade shit whilst on a talk show

Jadu​ not just the host, but the whole thing. Even Jeff Ross looked uncomfortable on here. The host just acts like a 14 year old that can't believe he's smoking weed, he talks over people and just seems awkward. The whole set is weird too, usually just 2/3 people sitting in front of a camera in a quiet room, smoking. So the mood probably feels off, and when feeling like that, it isn't wise to smoke because that can trigger paranoia and anxiety. The whole thing would be better if it had a different set, a studio audience (less "dead air"), a better host, and actual things to do.

+Kallum Don I think he over does it on purpose to play the sterotypical stoner, but in response to stratus, the goal is that the audience will be smoking weed too so they will vibe with the guests and host, although i could never vibe with the host if that is his real personality, its annoying imo

At 13:00 I thought Doug was going to keep his guest comfortable. Realizing that JB was having a bad high.. but then he took the session off the rails and continued talking about weed. The episode was all over the place and I think Doug could’ve kept him comfortable not talking about weed..

watching this back, jack actually didn't do that bad at all. he got extremely stoned and uncomfortable, but he didn't freak out or something. anyone who hasn't smoked in a long time, and gets high on loud, is going to experience something similar when forced into a social situation. he honestly did better than i would - i would end up smoking way too much, bc i honestly can't help myself, and get way too high and introspective to even much follow the conversation. i'd just want to sit there and think to myself about life.

You can see Jack trying to pal around with Benson and develop a rapport with him to make the situation more comfortable, anyone who's been socially anxious while high could relate. It's like "please just start acting like a human being to me", meanwhile all Doug can offer is shit to make JB uncomfortable, draw attention to how weird he's being, look at his crew as if to say "get a load of this guy"

(maybe habitual but)...I don't think he's that experienced. And these earlier episodes, you can tell he just wants to be internet famous. He put pressure on the guests to smoke and be funny so that he could get more views, and it's all pretty self centered. But I think he's chilled out a lot since then, and since I've gotten to know him better (through the show), I think that he's a good guy, he just was ambitious, and made a mistake in this regard.

Well, maybe I guess just when he started out, he had said that he hadn't been smoking that long. He said that he kind of started later on in life, like more so after it became legal. Not so much all his life, like the rest of us. I was just going by what he said. That's all I meant. Thanks for asking, though, I always appreciate when anyone takes an interest in me.

I used to watch these podcasts high and watching this one put me in the same mindset as Jack, was genuinely so anxiety inducing I could feel his disorientation and it was hard to concentrate on what they were saying. Poor Jack, I get it man.

Why are people being so harsh? Jack was just really high and he even openly admits he gets self-conscious. A lot of people are the exact same way, especially after smoking. He comes off as someone who is genuine. I didn't care for Jack Black before watching this, but now I have respect for the guy because he's simply human, and he knows it.

I've commented on another video, but I'll say it again: I got into some shit a few months back, and long story short, I get randomly drug tested. And while I'm not exactly going crazy not being able to smoke, one of the biggest things that keeps me sane through this is living vicariously through this show. So for all of my fellow smokers out there watching this series, take one for me please!

I get panics attacks when the strain seems to contain high levels of th. Lower to mid level th strains are ok for me. I never smoke out of a bong tho, so for i got 3 ou of 5 time a panic attack.

Alcohol is shit though, when I have drink in me, I say things I normally wouldn't say and I get aggressive, marijuana on the other hand gets me hyper focused on anything I desire, that's probably why jack is paranoid/anxious he doesn't have anything to fixate his mind on, for example when he was making music, he could focus on the music. it's funny because I am the same, I like a little puff when working on music.

The reason he had a bad high is there was like no background music or anything and it made the whole show feel really uncomfortable.

Imagine having Jack Black on ur show and talking about yourself, mocking him, not have anything to say, and asking for time. Unprofessional, and freeloading.
