Jack Black Cracked Up Awkwafina During 'Kung Fu Panda 4' Recording Session
"He's the most amazing human...and you are, too!" Awkwafina dishes on her new movie "Kung Fu Panda 4," and reveals that she probably ruined a few of her co-star Jack Black's takes in the recording booth because she couldn't stop laughing at his all-out performance. Awkwafina also opens up about her insecurity over her speaking voice, and shares how voice acting helped her gain appreciation for what makes her unique. She also dishes on having a flower named after her, being the Grand Marshall of the Chinese New Year parade in San Francisco, and throwing out the first pitch at a Mets game.

She was always kind of awkward, that's why she adopted the stage name Awkwafina lol (awkward + aquafina). I do think she gets a little more uncomforable when she's the sole interview subject as opposed to ones where she's with her co-stars.

Doesn’t matter if she had a stutter or not. Some people stutter when they are nervous or excited. I’ve had a stutter since I was a kid. I’m 35 now and still deal with it but not as bad as when I was a kid. I was teased for it for years. I was called “Stuttering Stanley” my name is Sara. I couldn’t say “Stuttering Stanley” as a kid without stuttering both words.
I sick of hearing her in every animated movie. Seriously…I get that y’all like her but I’m honestly not going to watch another movie if I have to hear the same character and energy in every movie. For god sakes, please find something else to do.
