You look at this kid and every play is special. His playmaking ability is really good. He is probably one of the best passers I've ever seen and one of the best playmakers Ive ever seen. His shooting is improving and i can see him being a threat from 3 at a high level in the nba in the future. His ability to get to the rim is special. Great Franchise Player. Zion at 1. Ja at 2

He's going to win rookie of the yr . He's heading into a better situation in the terms of what his role is going to be . Memphis is his team and he's gunna have the ball ALOT . Zion is gunna have to be fed the ball alot and I dony think he's going to score as easily as some think . Idk if he can break small forwards off the dribble and he's not tall enough to post up on the block 20 times a game nor is his jumper good enough to face up and shoot in defenders faces . Bully ball will only get him so far . I still think he will average around 18 for the season but I think morwnt is going to have a much easier time scoring and playing offense . Now defensively I think Zion is going to be a cannon he's going to get alot of help blocks and steals but alot of this depends on what position he plays . If he plays pf he may struggle cus of his height and idk if he's gunna be able to stay in front of the league's upper level small forwards we have . It's goingto be interesting for sure . I see morant as a better offensive rose at this pt . Not as explosive but he's pretty damn close

It’s sad that no one ever compares this guy to John Wall. I do remember during the draft process a couple of experts said that wall was actually the comp they saw the most. But since then, I never hear it. I don’t think he is exactly like wall. I understand the Rose comps. And the others. But I think the most accurate comp for JA is a MIX of Wall and Iverson/Rose. And why do I feel like wall has to be in there? It’s because Morant and Wall are the only supremely athletic PGs I can think of who were actually in love with passing the ball. Passing is always the thing that wall never gets remembered for, but he is one of the best assits men we have seen in NBA history, and it was clear from college, from day 1. He’s always siad that he loves to pass more than score, and that is why he spent his career in DC Learning how to master the balance between scoring 20 points but also getting 10 assists. I think this approach of his is what made him underrated as a scorer as well. Wall could have averaged 25-27 points per game for his healthy prime seasons, but that would have resulted in fewer chances for his teammates and likely he wouldn’t have been able to lift weak teams and terrible coaches and GMS to the brink of the conference finals multiple times. I think Ja Morant is a John wall who just enjoys scoring more than he enjoys passing. Both of them had similar abilities to do both, but JA LIKES to score more, and John likes to pass more, but both can do both at an insanely elite level. People also forget that Wall never got to play in the modern spacing the NBA currently has. The huge scoring boom started in 2018/19. If you look at the seasons wall averaged his 20 and 10s, the league average for scoring was about 99-102 ppg. It’s about 109-112 now. Everyone acts like the league has been all offensive since bron entered, but it’s really only been the last 5 years where the leagues scoring has reached the heights of the older eras like the 80s. Imagine Pre-injury Wall getting to play in a more wide open league? Would be insane. The dude freaking AVERAGED 30/10, 25/10 and 26/12 in his last 3 playoff SERIES. No one has ever done that with assits, and that was before the massive increase in spacing and agaisnr some really good defensive teams. Heck, even last year when he hadn’t played in 730 days and was super rusty and played with no help cuz eveyone was trying to get traded or getting hurt, and a brand new coach and all of that chaos, as well as battling new lingering injuries, Wall was able to score a career high ppg per 36 minutes. Imagine what a healthy wall could do in the modern league. And people who say JA is a better shooter than wall? JA has been 33, 30 and 33 from 3 so far. He’s also 21 percent from mid range( 15-19 ft). Wall, during his healthy 5 year all star run, had 3 years shooting between 35-37 percent from 3 on the same or higher volume than JA, and averaged rifgt below 35 percent for that stretch. He was also top 5 for mid range makes during some of those years and shot it between 36-44 percent( not great, but respected. For comparison, MvP Russ shot 36 percent on 4 mid range shots per game. Wall was 41 on 4 shots per game). The differnce is that Wall was a good finisher at the rim for his size, but only shot about 60 percent at the rim. JA is a mind blowing 74 percent so far this year, and that is the whole reason for his amazing season. He is below average nearly every other area on the shooting chart going by the 5 foot increments on NBA.com. I love Ja. He reminds me so much of Wall, I just hate that wall never got any love. He actually outplayed JA last year when he was barley even back in game shape, dropped 22 and 8 in 27 minutes with 4 3s in a 20 point win. It was the game that c wood went down, and the 8th game in a row the rockets had won when wall played and harden didn’t.
