I am from Pune, Maharashtra. We call it aluwadi in Marathi. We make the बेसन का घोल quite differently. We don't use ginger garlic or other खडे मसाले. We shallow fry the aluwadi and eat them. We dont put it in a gravy. It tastes yummy no doubt.

In north karnataka we call it as pathrode...patra means leaf... vade means vada....that leaf is calked shavi palle...❤
