I know of someone who went for his j1visa and was told congratulations you're successful. They took his passport and told him to pick up his visa at the agency which he used within 3 to 5 working days. Three weeks later he recieved passport saying refused. He can't understand how this could be after being given the assurance that he is successful. Just like that

Hi there, yes. My first time around as I was just in my first year only having completed five modules. Every time after that I used a transcript.

If you have a failing grade, does it impact your ability to get the Visa

Hi there, there is some impact. However, it’s really dependent on the interviewer. He or she might make one bad grade slide but they may ask you about it eg. what happened why you got that grade. If it is that there a multiple “failing grades” then they might ask you probing questions about them especially because one of the requirements is a 2.0 GPA. I’ve been in the embassy before and heard someone get told to focus on their grades and try the program another year but as I said it’s really dependent on the the interviewers- their mood and their discretion. Nevertheless, go into that interview and do your best but be prepared with a response in the event you get asked about that grade. All the best❣️

Hi Onair! No, the interview time doesn’t matter. However, given that it’s early on in the day there is a high chance of the interviewers being in a good mood..ready to tackle the day, feeling positive etc but the truth is, you never really know what to expect. Nevertheless, just put your best foot forward. All the best✨🙏🏾

Hi Jay, if you're a first year student they'll look at the grades from the 1st semester. If you are not a first year student you will need a transcript which entails all grades from all the semesters you have done.

@@GameravanCxc hi! It would be wise to familiarize yourself with this semester and/or last semester’s grades just in case they ask you. For the credits, there is a possibility to be asked the number of credits you did this semester and/or last semester.
