Wealth, power, and influence. J.P Morgan had it all. He owned the first billion-dollar company. He dominated the country’s most profitable industries. And on multiple occasions, the economy of The United States quite literally depended on the actions of J.P. Morgan. With a simple word or the stroke of a pen, John Pierpont Morgan could save a company from collapse or doom it to bankruptcy. There will never be another man quite like JP Morgan - literally, he is part of the reason the federal reserve was created so that the finances of a country wouldn’t be in the hands of one ultra wealthy and influential financier.
This MagnatesMedia documentary is the story of JP Morgan - aka John Pierpont Morgan: the banker who owned America. We’ll look at how he pioneered Morganization to consolidate companies and grow his fortune, how he made deals with the government to help stabilize the economy (e.g. through a gold syndicate), and even the troubled personal life of John Pierpont Morgan - who despite his wealth and business / financial success was plagued by tragedy. Of course long after JP Morgan died his legacy has lived on through his bank (now JPMorgan Chase), and so I hope you enjoy the history of the industrialist and magnate, John Pierpont Morgan.

    Hey guys, this is a re-upload. In case you missed it, someone tried to delete my entire channel and take down several of my videos (including this one). I explain the situation here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/k36Axq6bacfdcbw.html - but that’s why I’m reuploading it. It’s a shame because the original video had about 1.8 million views, and I’m guessing it won’t get that same kind of momentum again. But at least this way those of you who wanna watch it have the option to. Hope you enjoy! :) Btw… I’m writing new scripts at the moment, so I should hopefully have new videos for you later next month! 🎁 Thanks to ShipStation for sponsoring! - Get a 60-day free trial at www.shipstation.com/magnates

    its a wonderful video and its must watchable because this video has sharing a life story of one of the best business legend in our world and his name is JP Morgan. Why i suggesting this video has the way of presentation and the theme are amazing or fabulous, One of the key thing is that when i watching this video its didn't bore any of the area and its truly engaging. Coming to this video the video has split into 5 parts and the first part of this video has completely on childhood life of JP and coming to the second part its sharing some tragedy was happened in his life then moving into third part its sharing some strategy he used in his professional life and fourth part giving a insight about the influence of Jp in America and final part is end of JP journey and current situation of Jp Company etc. Once again thank you for the wonderful video and we still waiting something bigger than this.

    So we have Morgan and his cronnies to thank for the Federal Reserve and ultimately the Petrodollar and the current global financial system. Thanks Mr. Morgan for making life so hard in the rest of the world outside the US, while making the US into the most overpriviledged society in history.

  • @mrlox9576
    @mrlox957611 ай бұрын

    He unified many industries that would likely still be small players and unable to compete on a global market otherwise. And he bailed the country out more than once at a time when every other country had turned their backs and caused economic collapses that would have lasted a long time and costed many lives given the state of things, setting the countries progress back many years. His display of confidence in the economy despite it failing, is the only reason overseas confidence and investment was restored. Without him getting things back on track, USA would not have been in a position to do it's part in the wars. Would have been way too under funded and under resourced. It took a lot of time for countries to build up everything and stand strong back then. Still does, but not as long. Consolidating industries is one of the things that has made china a world power in such a short time. Like Morgan or not, regardless of the fact that he's there to make money, the guy deserved a thanks, not a big F.U. from the public.

    In the same breath he manipulated laws and politicians and monopolized industries as a spoiled little brat who came from one of americas first wealthy class. This guy had all the money in the world before he was even born and just continued to try and get more and more by using that money to just continue to manipulate and monopolized until the very things he did destroyed the market and he just bought that too… hero? More like slum lord ..

    And if I might, another feather in the cap of Morgan's is his love and respect and understanding of the necessity of ART in the lives of we humans. To this, as all should know, he "put his money where is mouth was" (altered to past-tense) in what he acquired and made as available to We, the Public. Morgan absolutely was "type."
