Hey Ben, don't know if you saw my comment on your previous video about the Alibaba stock analysis but it seemed like a pretty popular comment based on the number of likes it got. So I'll post it here since many people are eager to hear your perspective. Question: When you were still in school did you ever think of going into management consulting (Mckinsey, Bain BCG) instead of investment banking? If so, what factors made you pick IB over consulting? Again, thanks for making this informative content!

Since I am also into banking, what are your thoughts on whether the traditionally of IB work hours should be kept with an increased comps? Or should we go softer forward in terms of hours? This is a trending topic. I personally believe to stick with these crazy work hours, but with better pay. I see the trade-off in skills plays hugely here and that's what makes a worker have a warrior-like mental and experience.
@rareliquid
3 жыл бұрын
i think no matter what the pay becomes unless it 2x’es which i don’t see happening this topic will continue on to be discussed. analysts get paid the least as bankers but they still get paid more than almost any other job in the world out of college and the potential for your future earnings if you stay in finance is also extremely lucrative. So i think the better move is to not make the hours as crazy. 80 hour weeks aren’t that bad tbh but 100-110 hours are just crazy

Our Goal is simple, to teach everyday investors how to build a truly great investment portfolio that creates great income over time. Unlike other investment related companies, we are committed to doing what we say everyday, without exception. We don't promise "guaranteed" profits , or tell you that our strategies are foolproof. We can't guarantee results because there are no guarantees in the financial markets and anyone who tells you otherwise should be avoided.
