It wasn't all that soft of a touch. House of Morgan is a good book to read.

J.P Morgan illustrates that no matter the barriers or challenges you can triumph and persevere in whatever you do. You can only fail at something if you never give it a try. I enjoyed the video and thanks for sharing.

Yeah both explain topics in a way everybody understand.

The old pictures and the motion sequence was perfect enough to port us to Mr.JP's era and it has made the documentary more authentic and the best it could be.

I never watch more than 10 mins youtube videos. Longforms are for netflix docs in my mind if that makes sense. This is my first uninterrupted 40 mins, never had such a an undivided attention for a content on youtube. It is a GREAT story and storytelling. Mind blowing. Instantly subscribed.

I’ve been longing to see a quality documentary of J.P Morgan. 40 minutes felt like 15 minutes. Well done.

Wow cant believe 40min just flew past so quickly. Very well put together video. Informative and left out all the "He was an Evil billionaire" narrative. Just pure facts about a legendary businessman.

I love this Great American Icon. Hard work mixed with Rest . I have learned a lot from his Business Life. Thank you. He learnt about Napoleon Bonaparte but I think I have learned a lot about John Pierpont Morgan. Thank you.

And this brings tears of joy every single time .

You forgot to mention that most of the time, the only reason why those banks in the past suffered so many threats of bank runs, was because the fractional reserve practice was widespread. This means that the banks usually lent more money than they actually had in reserves, essentially creating more money out of thin air and expanding the monetary base. Now in a free market, the fractional reserve practice would be a fraud, but today is not only legalized but still widespread, the difference is that this is now monopolized by Central Banks. You don't need Central Banks, only fraudulent bankers need a Central Bank or Government, to pay their bills.

Without fractional reserves you have no lending/credit market and thus no growth. Bubbles happen but we've seen widespread economic and technological growth as a result. This is more worthwhile than the conspiracy theory you imply.
