I have listened to this song ever since I was 17 as a junior at a high school in Taiwan, and I am listening to it when I am 71 now as a retired college professor and am still deeply touched by this classic. Whenever I am gazing at the rain while listening to this song at once, I miss deeply my former wife because she used to stay beside me when we shared it together. She passed away in November 2021 in the US. I still fail to find find any better replacement than this song with its melody, lyric, and rhythm!! A simply pure and empathetic mood arises right away and brings my former far-away wife back to my heart again in both the vision and the memory. Oh, Rain, please tell my late wife I love her so!
