竹内栖鳳の作品をよく知る方々に、竹内栖鳳作品の魅力を語っていただくシリーズです。2では、京都市出身の日本画家・竹内浩一氏にお話を伺いました。竹内氏は、動物表現を基軸に、新しい日本画の魅力を探究されています。京都で創作を続けられる中で、栖鳳がどのような存在であるのか、画家の視点から栖鳳の魅力について語っていただきます。

Describing the Appeal of Takeuchi Seiho 2
Takeuchi Koichi (Japanese-style painter)
In the video series of this exhibition, the fascination of Takeuchi Seiho’s works will be introduced by various people who are familiar with his works. In #2, we interviewed Takeuchi Koichi, a Japanese-style painter from Kyoto. Takeuchi explores the new fascination of Japanese-style painting which centers on animal expressions. With his background of continuously working in Kyoto, and his perspective as a painter, the fascinating aspects and what came about with the existence of Seiho, will be introduced.
