KTを観ていて感じることは、３年間で生徒が入れ替わるにも関わらず年々様々な趣向を凝らして、全体が常にレベルアップしているように見えることです。

この年のバナーが最高 ダンスにキレがあり、笑顔が素敵💓 バナー見てるだけで楽しい😆

後続の神輿グループがピタッと付いて来てくれてるので、他のパレードみたいに金魚の糞が入り込む余地がなくていいですねww　御神輿グループに感謝です。

Orange Devils, Orange Fairies, ... For me they are the Orange burst Sunshine and happiness . When you're in a mood , just watch these young talented adults and you feel much better. Love them

This is the best marching band I have ever seen and they are a high school band. Much better than college. Very talented and coordinated. They created a new standard for marching bands.

Of course Izumo Commercial band is a sister band of KT SHS they have similar repertoire and did you notice the moves and the uniforms the are almost the same the only difference is their color. KT SHS help Izumo for Izumo don"t have the resources that KT has being a public school so KT donates to them

I don't disagree with you, but I find their playing abilities to be just a bit above average. What sets them apart from everyone else is their song selections (a lot of emphasis on current pop numbers) and then the unbelievable dancing-while-playing. Other bands are starting to ape the bands dance movements, but they have a ways to go. Then to think that the seniors are the ones who teach the younger band members how to do it, and then graduate and move on. The entire learning process is self-sustaining. Oh, and I almost forgot: those memorable yellow and orange miniskirts. That takes guts! Only in Japan! Were this an American band, the #MeToo movement would have shut them down completely.

I used to think that DCI was the highest form of marching band, but then I saw Tachibana. They always impress me with their artistry, grace, poise, pride, and musicianship.

@Demef, I think there playing is to be complemented on dancing and playing some clever music to a very high standard, some videos don’t do them justice in being to close! If you see their concert videos when only playing, they are equal to or even better than a lot of bands! Japanese bands have a very high standard , which makes them so unique and the leaders in this area around the world. And the teaching ethics is incredible, which is the D&A of the school band and doesn’t come easy! A lot of blood sweat and tears before hand in getting those polished performances. I know the are boys in the band, the driving force is the girls( and most bands are 80% female anyway, but wearing trousers and hats), but Tachibana have shown the world, that girls in Japan are becoming equal to the male and the uniforms make that statement. In several Rose Parades videos, you hear women in the crowds, saying “they are all girls” and another shout of “girl power”. I do hope Japan seriously recognises the power this band has become in encouraging the youth,(and especially girl’s) to showcase their talents in giving them a chance to perform in front on the world at the Olympics this year. I believe the international audience will be blown away by there free and cheeky routines. I my motto for them is “ PRIDE PASSION & PERFORMANCE “. You can’t get better than that. I wish all the Band. Teachers and background support staff further great success

Average? Have you watch them in concerts where they don't have to do anything else but sit and play? They're outstanding!! They are different animal and the fact that members come and go, so every year sets of seniors have to leave after graduation then new wave of newbie players sets in so they start again, juniors mans the vacated places of the graduates. It's so hard to play sitting down more so whilst dancing, prancing and what have you. I'm a musician so I know the hardship they undergoes to keep up with their standard and keep in mind they are high school kids!!

I’m really addicted and became a big fan of Kyoto tachibana! This band always made me happy everyday by watching all their performance! ❤️🙇🇯🇵this band is a treasure, always shine like a diamond 💎

Peter Lutz They never stop driving for perfection. They play book is extensive and appeals to age groups, which is what makes them unique.

I've seen videos of KT going back to the 1990s, and their consistency of quality is amazing to say the least; especially when you consider that the lasses are members of the band for only three years. In three years they go from learning, to supporting the teachers whilst they continue to learn, to teaching. And all this as an extracurricular activity.

I am admired by the musicality by the very coreaografic execution, by the good music and, finally by the beauty of these musicians. Discipline, training, gerarchy and beauty, Thei is something that I can only see in the Japanese schools Bravi!!

I love Kyoto Tachibana since I have seen this brass band by chance ,at Roses Parade 2012 ! 相変わらず素晴らしい！ 余談ですが、東京都庁展望階のピアノで”Sing,Sing,Sing”を女性二人が連奏している様子がUPされてますが、その投稿の多くが”京都橘を思い出す～”的な内容ばかりでしたね(^^♪

Awesome, fantastic, wonderful, outstanding are not adequate words to describe how great this band is. They are all virtuosos at playing their instruments. Being able to play their instruments while dancing is unbelievable. The level of discipline it takes to coordinate all of the different songs and dance moves at great precision is beyond amazing. Tachibana makes college bands in America look like elementary student bands. Love you guys

They practice 40 hours per week year round outside of school.

Because of this band, I read up on Kyoto . Definitely a place I would like to visit one day. 🥰KTSHS Band always!

Orange has become my favorite color. Wonderful band, out of this world.

In case you missed it, the last graduation group (115th class) served as a pep band for the Woman's volley ball team just one month ago. You can see them in this video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/eI2JxJWMaN3PZ6Q.html (at 1 : 05 : 27). 22 out of 39 class members are present.

I love watching this band. It seems each time I see them I learn a bit more about them. I think about all the hard work and sacrifices that it takes to be a part of the best marching band in the world. It has redefined the marching into dancing and prancing as well. Japan's greatest goodwill ambassadors, the Kyoto Tachibana Senior High School Band.

@@milksomecows Apparently they practice before and after school every day, and on weekends, too. I saw a comment on another video that said it's 37.5 hours a week, and they only get 5 days off a year (although I'm not sure that last part is true).

I miss so much the gigs they used to make in weekends at school that I managed to see in Italy just an hour after they did it in the morning here (7-8 hours of parallel difference..). They made my day! Love.

@@dirtcop11 in this configuration, 1 french horn, 1 saxophone, 2 Sousaphones, 1 snare and 1 clarinet are young men.

スーザはやっぱり男子部員がいい音出しますね。 低音楽器は肺活量に影響されますし金属製を扱えるのも音質、音量に差が出ます。 豊かな低音はバンド全体の音楽パフォーマンスに深みを与えます。 内外のコメントでは評価されることが少ないですがパーカスと共にバンドの背骨を担う低音楽器担当、特に話題に上がらない男子部員を称えたいと思います。頑張りましたね。

圧倒的に女子が多いなか頑張っている男子は立派ですが、女子でスーザ　チューバやるのはたいへん　希望者は少ないでしょう敬意を表します。

Thank You Very Much! Very Entertaining! A few musicians are still a little off key bouncing around as much as they do you would expect more of them to be off key but by the end of November they will reach near perfection, by mid December they will reach full perfection.

Amazing as always! I used to think xylophone was a waste of space in a marching band (because it could barely be heard) but here, even when the camera is beside the horns you can hear it crystal clear. How is it that loud? How does she even play it while bopping around? !!!
