趁现在还是金瓜季节,一起来做“金瓜发糕”。只需几种简单食材,超直接,无蛋,无奶,无酵母,隔天也不干硬。采用了新鲜金瓜果肉来制作,蒸后呈现出天然金瓜黄金色,整体太香了。做发糕要确保发粉/泡打粉有效,面糊不搅拌过度,蒸时火力够大,不要间中开盖,就能烤出各个开花,笑口常开,膨胀高高的发糕。撕开了,内部蓬松暄软且绵密湿润,加上金瓜甜,很香~
收藏方式:做好温吃最佳,放凉收密封容器,室温 3天内吃完。
While it’s still pumpkin season, let's make “Pumpkin Huat Kuih” a.k.a. “Pumpkin Blossoming Steamed Cake”. Super straight forward with just few simple ingredients, no egg, no milk, no yeast, won't dry hard overnight. Fresh Pumpkin flesh is used to make, after steamed reveal the natural pumpkin golden color, so fragrant. When making Huat Kuih, must ensure baking powder is still active, must not overmix batter, the heat is strong enough when steaming, and must not open lid midway, can yield Huat Kuih each blossoming beautifully, smiles, and high puffiness. When torn apart, the inside is fluffy, soft, and moist, with pumpkin sweetness and very fragrant~
Storage method: Best eaten warm after steamed. Once cooled, store in airtight container, 3days at room temperature.

85g Caster Sugar 细砂糖
1g Salt 盐
140g Water 水
25g Vegetable Oil/Corn Oil植物油/玉米油
200g Cake Flour/Low Protein Flour 低筋面粉
13g Baking Powder 发粉/泡打粉

    This recipe uses cake flour ya... if use self raising flour need to reduce baking powder as self raising flour inside got raising agent.

    Need to see your photo to know, did you test your baking powder to see whether it is still active? Please watch my youtiao video to find out how to test your baking powder no matter you just bought or how ya. kzread.info/dash/bejne/n4qBlpeelc7RdLg.htmlsi=T4jfcarib5svTDXX Also need to see what's the reason for your failure, I have shown in my video for the reason of my failure products, is it not fluffy, not rising, not blossoming or how? especially must be totally accurate when u measure your baking powder, must not overmix your batter after adding flour if gluten form for sure it will be hard not fluffy. Be sure your batter consistency after mixing is exactly as shown as my video, as different pumpkin has different moisture content, thus can adjust just abit on the water and flour amount to reach the exact consistency. be sure to rest mixture awhile after mixing and check whether did it bubbly abit (as per video)after rest? If no bubble means your baking powder not active enough, for sure your batter can't blossoming ya. Then be sure to fill till 90% full, be sure your steam pot water is big boiled before adding huatkuih to steam, be sure not to open the lid while steaming midway or else it will collapse or deflate
