“J.Crossover” A Jamal Crawford Documentary | The Crossover King Is a True Role Model

We had the pleasure of spending our summer in Seattle with the LA Clippers’ Jamal Crawford as he hosted his annual Seattle Pro-Am league. For two months, we captured highlights and conducted interviews with Pro-Am players like Isaiah Thomas & Tony Wroten as well as Seattle basketball legends like Gary Payton and Brandon Roy who talked to us about Jamal and how committed he is to giving back to his community.
We also talked to Jamal about his basketball journey that started at home with a yellow Dr J basketball to playing pick-up games with the original Lob City crew of Gary Payton and Shawn Kemp while Crawford was still in high school to the University of Michigan and then to the NBA where he has been breaking records and throwing lobs to Blake Griffin as part of the modern day Lob City.

Music by: The Stuyvesants | @theStuyvesants
Special Thanks to Brandon Roy, Gary Payton, Isaiah Thomas, Tony Wroten, Will Conroy, Rashaad Powell, Reggie Moore, Mike Bethea and all of the players and staff at The Seattle Pro-Am. Also thanks to Daniel Soto for the audio editing.
We will be releasing a full uncut interview with Jamal Crawford in the near future.

Talk about not only one of the most gifted players the game has seen, but one of the most humble players as well. He's a legend and I hope he continues to play for a long long time because it's been a treat to watch him and for me he's been must watch TV for years now. Long live J. CROSSOVER

Loved Jamal Crawford ever since the Knick years. He will always be my favorite player of all time. Above Hakeem 2nd and Allen Iverson 3rd. He has always been a showman on and off the court. He can shoot, handle the ball, draw a foul, pass the ball, and take it inside and finish. Watch the highlight tapes in the NBA and the street leagues. You'll see how see how nice he is. Arguably the best 6 man to ever do it. Jamal if you're reading this you are my idol. I've modeled my game after you your crossovers, shot, and layups. You will always be my favorite player and good luck this season.

Wow man Jamal is such a huge inspiration and a great role model. I wish I would have grown up in Seattle now cause over here in Roanoke, VA, no nba player or anybody for that matter ever shows up here. Steph Curry came to a local camp around here once, but I came the week after when his brother Seth was down here in 07 (I crossed him btw, no joke, but I missed the lay up..), JJ Reddick comes here from time to time but just to visit cause he lived here for a bit but it really sucks that no one ever came here that I looked up to and had a camp or something. It's not that big of deal now cause I'm 19 but it would have been so cool to have someone like Jamal Crawford, Nate Robinson, or Isaiah Thomas show up and give back to the community when I was younger. It would have meant a lot but Jamal will forever be my inspiration. It just makes me mad that JJ has to start over him hahaha -__-

absolutely dope documentary, j crawford, excuse me j crossover, has been one of my favorite players for some time now. but, to see how true he stays to those deep roots of his hometown is something truly special because you just don't hear too many stories like this of many athletes. especially, when he has people to vouch for him to say that the nba lifestyle has never changed him. found it interesting though that jamal said he never does drills to work on his game, just isn't the norm for most to learn the game on pure instinct. guess that's just what separates him from the rest, haha. overall, this doc makes me appreciate who he is that much more, much respect.
