Музыка
We frequently update our showroom, so we wanted to take a walkthrough to with you to see what's up now and what we have planned in the future.
A home away from home for any audiophile, our showroom is a wonderland for anyone who loves vintage audio, especially (obviously! 😁) Technics products. We combine many products from different eras and manufacturers in our demo systems with our custom tape decks for a unique and incredibly enjoyable listening experience.

I've noticed that you have a bunch of US 5100 based units. For the money, it's the best recorder in it's time. i was so impressed by mine, that I got another one. I would record on one of them and then do post production on the second unit both at 15 IPS. Truly the best at top end frequencies. Would capture everything above 20KHZ. Sometimes, I'd have to trim them because the program was too bright. Only thing bad about them was their weight. The older I got, the heavier they got. haha. First machine cost me ~$900.00 The second machine purchased about 6 months later was ~ $1000.00. The closest machines to performance were about $ 3000 more, A Crown came in at $2500 more. An Ampex was even more maybe $4K to $5K. Some machines had glass heads. Actually fiberglass heads with wore very well but their top end was terrible. Maybe ended up ~ 16000 Htz. and became unstable at higher freq.'s A lot of owners had those glass heads replaced with typical lamenated ones. Horrible response for a machine of this level.
SWEEETTTT LORDDD!!!! Can't even think of any word to describe how amazed I am after watching this video.. IF ONLY I put a foot in there!!!!!
Okay, you win. This is just the most amazing collection of R2R i’ve EVER seen. Back here in Amsterdam, i’m the proud owner of a Technics RS 1506. Amazing sound. But what you did, modifying those machines is just. Awsome. Kind regards from Europe!

J Corder's bearing mod is wrong wron wrong ! He's using 2 bearings side by side which will eventually crease the tape. J Corder should have used 1 single ceramic bearing on a ceramic coated SS axle. J Corder should stick to vinyl wrapping and leave the mechanical mods to those in the know LMAO !
I bought a Marantz ST-8 Esotec tuner at a flea market for 40 bucks back in 2005. Those were pretty rare. And the oscilloscope still worked and it was in great shape. I sold it on eBay for 1200. Nowadays it's worth 3 times that
Nice! Thanks for sharing! You restored my RS-1500 last year.
