There is no "how do i do it" and draging somthing for a long time. You just do it. Thats the answer. Just do it. Yes thats nike but its true. Its by just starting somthing that you will know how something works. There is no step by step process like math, science or whatever. Life does't work like that.

The longer it takes the better it might be. Maybe in it's current state is the best album of the decade, maybe in a few years will be the album of the century. I just hope it won't be a flop. The off-season was insanely good, made me a fan and got me interested in his music more, I listened to it for more than 100 times front to back I can't stop. But until the fall off, the next project is "It's a boy" if I'm not wrong, I hope it will be great.

Facts. The fact that J Cole never won artist of the year or album of the year at the grammys shows the true value of these so called awards. It's remarkable and so inspiring that even after all his success, he hasn't settled. The message is very clear, don't sit around and be lazy. achieve your goals, if you succeed, then make more goals, and then achieve those.

As someone who doesn't have the self-sufficient drive to strive for better like this, these things push me and help me frame myself into a better position. Anxiety has been wreaking havok on my life ever since I was a child and more recently in these past few months, I've found out that there's 0 people I can turn to but myself. Shit like this will always remind me that I can still make it.

J Cole is such a nice and genuine dude. I used to work at an arena and built many stages. One rule of my job is, 'Don't talk to the artist or you're fired.' J Cole asked me and a coworker if everything was going well with the build. My coworker said, 'There's something, but we're not allowed to talk to you.' He said it's cool and he'd talk to our manager. I had to tell him, there was something wrong with the street light on one corner of the stage. So don't try to lean or hang off it or it's falling into the crowd. He genuinely thanked us for the info and our work. Put his hands together and bowed to us. My manager came up to us livid. When we told him the convo he defused right quick. We get to watch the show backstage. He was hanging off every street light over the crowd on the stage except that one with issues. It could have ruined the whole show.

I'm so damn inspired by this man who's following both of his passions. He's not leaving it unturned he's not gonna keep any regret in his heart and that's what I want to see and hear that it's possible. As an 18 year old who's on the verge of choosing careers aka life paths it's inspirational to see that you can do everything you just need to put the worK there's no such that as 1 career or passion. You carry multitudes. Dream on work hard. Thankyou Cole✨

I added this documentary to my hard drive to remind myself that there are people out there who find themselves stuck. When they look around themselves and they have this feeling of confinement, like the walls are closing in tightly making it hard for them breathe clean air and you start to hyperventilate thinking that you're not breathing correctly, that the air in your body is coming in and out, and you start to feel ants crawling around your face ultimately leading into some form of a panic attack. While this is all happening in just several minutes or even seconds, and you start getting lost in thought like you had been staring at walls for several hours; It finally hits you. That inspiration you kept waiting for countless weeks without really ever doing anything but waking up to your daily, miserable routine of hygiene, and watching the same shows off your smart TV too. This isn't the life you wanted to live or want to live in. I wake up every morning thinking what should I do next, what is there to do next. I have adrenaline in my veins, I like to push my body to higher standards, the standards I don't see people set in my local town. I like to hop on a longboard and see how fast I can go. How many laps I can throw in before my lungs can handle it anymore. I'm surviving Covid today, with my asthma, and I still get up to skate, to see how long I can drag out a manual for, with practice and more practice I start to see that 3 second manual turn into 7 seconds, into 10 seconds, into a whole strip of 15 seconds before I fall or maybe I can land it, with a clean roll away, a graceful praise from the Lord, and my hard work gets paid off with no expectations. I used to make beats all the time to relieve stress. I have high anxiety levels. I peel, bite, and eat (as in swallow) my own skin until I bleed; I let it heal, and then I repeat this process again and again. My body responds by taking massive shits, without a care in the world this has grown into my life as a curse. Something I can't break free from because the fear of failure is so strong. A lot of my failures from making beats, however, has come from creating a project, and then coming back to it the next day as a corrupt file, gone for good, no chance of recovery; This has been 95% of my projects especially recently. I always thought I was being hacked, or that someone was out trying to steal my hard work, so that they can pocket the easy way. This way of thinking has corrupted my mind, and has forced me into corners where I abuse those around me, typically verbally and the likes of such. This documentary opened my eyes a little bit. My heart that has been tainted my demonic thoughts, slowly fading, returning to my good soul; the life I was supposed to ride on like a wave, where I can allow my skin to heal not temporarily but for good, so that the people around me when I interact with them, don't see a monster before them, but instead see someone they can feel the confidence in confronting with. This documentary among many documentaries will be the start to something new. Where instead of waking up just to sleep right away, I can wake up and feel the confidence to get outta the house and explore my uncomfortable zone. And experience the good things that life is supposed to bring like the outdoors. The ability to put on some new shoes and ruin them just to enjoy a days worth of skating, and then have a shit ton of ideas to bring home with me, not specifically for music, but maybe to clean my house or to do just anything that's not killing my own body one step at a time. And that's when I think, there's other people just like me out there. I'm not alone. I don't need to see a therapist. My therapy is getting up and leaving my comfort zone. Thanks J. Cole.

The Off-Season is a dope project from start to finish, I’ve had it play on repeat without even noticing because it’s such a well crafted piece of art and you can get lost in it. So relatable too.
