It's simple. PAF wants to stay ahead of India. In 1984, PAF was the first air force in South Asia that introduced the fourth generation F-16. This gave PAF edge by familiarizing and trained well in newer technology. By incorporating lessons from fifth generation jets, PAF pilots will have a clear edge over IAF. We have seen competence and battle readiness of PAF pilots in Feb 2019 against its arch rival the Indian Air Force.

@@azrael6067 yes, you are right. In Kargil PAF could not use F-16s for the want of BVRs that India had but Pakistan was embargoed by the USA. PAF never engages with the enemy at a disadvantageous position. That's their policy. However, Pakistan was the first operator of the Fourth Generation jet. And it doesn't matter whether Pakistan bought it or the US gave it to us. What is important is we got it well before India. To address this imbalance India went to France and bought Mirage 2000 jets. When PAF F-16s were modified and got AMRAAMS, see what they did to IAF. They shot down Su 30 MKI and MiG 21. One can only ignore the capabilities of PAF at its own peril.

It isn’t a given that America will supply its engines to Turkey let alone to a Chinese ally like Pakistan. America has already shown its cards when it embargoed the Honeywell engines for Pakistan’s purchase of Atak-1. We know that it was a specific country block since Philippines just finished its contract and received the 5th and 6th helicopters at the end of 2023. So much for being a non-NATO ally 🎉

People are so illiterate here when it comes to military matters like it isn’t complicated jets but your grand pa’s old beater that you are doing an engine swap 😂😂😂 Most likely Pakistan will integrate Turkish technologies like autonomous drones that will be the hallmark of sixth generation aircraft. Pakistan will transition J-31 into a sixth generation aircraft. As for Karan, TAI wants full transfer of technology for engines. Ukraine is the only viable option that might give a full licensed ToT for jet engine though Ukraine itself isn’t at part with West or even China since it pretty much works with Soviet era technologies. Turkey is more screwed compared to Pakistan when it comes to fifth generation aircrafts since they really can’t get anything Chinese without the US making a stink about it.

Now India has to beg for F35 from us. LAMO

PAF will buy the J35 land based version (lower weight & cost) as opposed to carrier based version. J35 vs J20 is similar to the F-35 vs F-22. J35 is based on F-35 - industrial espionage...

The J31 is indeed stolen, as is the F35, but in terms of military theft, every country has it, including China's 055, and the United States is also reproducing it. The J31 is actually a transitional aircraft model and has been installed in the army in 2017. , J35 was also tested last year. However, these aircraft are enough for ordinary countries to maintain regional stability, but for superpowers, more are needed. The formation combination of two-seat stealth fighters + drones is the key point of the subsequent confrontation.

Pakistan need J-10C because it has a long range and high pay load capacity than JF-17 Thunder and it can compete Rafale while J-31 is a stealth Air Superiority Fighter which will provide High edge to Pakistan on Indian Airforce and JF-17 thunder is a light weight combat aircraft which Pakistan will always use to attack and J-10C and J-31 will provide back support to this so every fighter has its own capacity and performance leverl and I think Pakistan should acquire at least two squadrons of J-16D flankers for Naval role.

Their country barely surviving and taking loans from other countries but they got money to buy expensive weapons.

@@souvikmondal2653 you guys don’t have proof your chief of army stuff lied in front of all the Indians, that the F-16 of Pakistan crashed. Then one of the news reporter showed the picture on your in your news channel and the guy he was a professional. He was an engineer, and then he said that this engine does not belong to F-16, but it belongs to the 21 fulcrum, then later on people said that the F-16 crashed in Pakistan border, but we have found no evidence and there’s nothing which has ever happened and none of the F-16’s have ever crashed in the entire air to air battles thank you bye if you even listen to the story of Abhinandan, you don’t find him striking any of thefighter jets, but all the Mig 21s were aiming at the ground targets. The F16s came & engaged them while making a loop and flew back to the base safely while the JF 17 thunder were alreadytook off and then one of them struck 2 missiles destroying 2 mig 21s including your wing commander Abhinandan your other plane crashed in India killing ur pilot I saw his burned body with a missing leg with a burned engine of mig 21 :(

A 5th generation fighter with no 5th generation power engine? Its nothing but a joke that a country that is begging for money everywhere believes that a fighter is more important then capital expenditure to improve its economy.
