@@o............. my interpretation is basically like the saying 'the loudest person in the room is often the weakest person in the room'. Not necessarily physically the weakest, but the weakest in intelligence, confidence, etc. It means you don't always have to respond to people's ignorant comments or rudeness towards you. Make your moves (career, relationship, money) in silence and you'll have more success, peace, and security than if you let people in all your business. Lastly, if you are a Christian it means that in silence you can hear from God and He will direct your path.

I was behind her and her assistant in line at a local restaurant here in Atlanta. She ordered her own food and paid, I was so nervous because I wanted to acknowledge her presence without ‘blowing up her spot’. I looked at the assistant for permission and them said “hello, thank you for what you’ve done for humanity” she said “hi there 🙂 you’re welcome”. And that was that. She is genuinely humble, I love it 💜

Fix My Life was such a game changer for the culture, we needed Iyanla and all of her lessons!!!! I use them to this day!!! "Your behavior diminishes your message" 👏🏾

I had everything Iyanla published at one point in my life. I'm a faithful devotee of Mother/Sister Iyanla. I was speaking with my 32 year old daughter last night and telling her how disgusted I am with my life because I am forced to be in masculine energy daily. I'm a FT caregiver for my 82 year old mother. I have no siblings and I do all that's needed to be done around the house including yard work. I just want to get a mani/pedi. I really don't think being a "strong, independent" woman is cute. Iyanla, fix our lives!

🗣️Talk about it!!!! I build and move furniture, give car repair advice, act as the brain for my family. I’m tired and they don’t understand. Then when you have a breakdown they mad and think you’re crazy. Family members don’t know how privileged they are because if these were strangers I would disappear 🫠.

Queen Iyanla. I love her. I found my own healing thru her show. Still go back and watch it from time to time. I hope the OWN Network never removes it!

This woman has done so much! When we talk about people who deserve their flowers, this woman is that person. She is the only notable black woman who had a national TV program about us getting therapy and tackling our internal issues and dealing with our traumas TEN YEARS ago. I have a lot of respect for her.

I absolutely love Our Elders man!! I knew from the clip I saw on IG Auntie wasn't going to disappoint! Elders are really a gem that is dying 😭 but while they are here we have to appreciate their wisdom even if it's dished out a little harshly. I pray all the women that are 35 and under didn't take any offense to what she was saying. We need you Queens, you are loved and are needed. We got to stop giving up Our goods for little of nothing in return and I'm talking about more than just sex..we as women need to learn to support each other without any malice so we can then support our black and brown men without malice. I have yet to hear what a clear and concise version of that is from anyone but specifically the people like her that say it.

This woman is a gem. Her show dealt with the most extreme cases of dysfunction, and with every situation she was able to break it down from the core. A lot of times, the core was generational… a lot of times, it was simply behavioral. But her ability to peel those layers and bring it to light:: unmatched. I pray for her, for her ministry, her family, her daughter… I wish for another leader like her.

I would love to meet her one day. She's saying things that I've been dwelling on for a while. As women and as wives, atleast for me growing up in the 90's I was taught this prince charming / cinderella fairy tale or had the impression that men can do it all. They are men, they are strong, they are leaders. And though those statements are true, it doesn't educate women on how much of our energy needs to go into our men. Our men have fears, battles and weaknesses like any other human being. So we have to steer and aid in adding stability, guidance, reassurance, health, nutrition, balance into our households. And yes the foundation of that is knowing who you are as a woman and developing that. There's no love like a woman's love and people who love thier mother's understand this. A woman takes a mans seed and turns it into another person. Growing a baby by doing nothing but taking care of herself. Feed into yourself because when you are better everything around you get be better.
