Brilliant video! It’s great riding around Reeth area. If you go to the right at the cross road sign you pop out at some beautiful old mine workings, cross the stream and up the opposite grassy climb and there’s a big mining track loop back down to the River Swale , it’s stunning!

Another great video as usual 👍👍👍 Love that area of Swaledale. Some of my favourite trails. But I always seem to struggle to find the trail into Gunnerside, seem to take a different one every time I go.

Great video after seeing it on your Strava feed a while back - worth the wait!! You can do Gunnerside Gill as a clockwise loop starting in Gunnerside, heading up a steady double track climb to Botcher Gill Gate and then a brilliant descent down to Lownathwaite Mines. If you follow the bridleway down on the other side of Gunnerside Beck it brings you out at the bottom of Bunton Hush, the rest of it is on the video back to above Gunnerside. Not ridden it for a while but still ranks as one of my favourite rides and recommend it to anyone new to riding in this area.

Take a look at a map and maybe take the footpath back up instead of that horrible grass track that I did. It’s about half a mile before

@@TrailFinder thanks for the tip, but as it’s a footpath & more importantly that I am on an eMTB (the same as your mate John’s actually) it’s no hassle going up grassy slopes, especially if it’s still dry

Rode Bunton Hush today, it’s pretty eye opening.. The bridleways to the right at the bottom back up to the top are all a shitty hike.

Maybe take a look at the map and go up the footpath that’s just before the unridable grass bridleway. Not sure why the footpath is a footpath as it changes to a bridleway further up.

@@TrailFinder yes I agree I'm sure there will be another track to lead us to the same route. We did your Elterwater lough Rigg terrace oxon fell ride the other month and yes what a fantastic ride that was. The only horrible bit was the climb after the lake side track there was 3 or 4 trees blown down, which meant a struggle to push the bikes around up the hillside. Apart from that it was a dam good show No where near your 3hrs 🤣 we make a day of it and enjoy the views abit like a bus tour🤣🤣
